I’m sure this has been posted 100 times but I like it. I can’t overlook the fact he doesn’t say **** once so that’s a negative but I’ll put that down to it not making the final edit. Liked the fact he’s really hands on in training which it seemed Conte and Mourinho were more stand offish in that regard. Liked the we can rest at HT and FT when we’re celebrating our win line.

Watch the tackle by Conte around 54 secs - standoffish in training - maybe not!

Looking more and more like we were right to not take Nagelsmann further. Something not quite right there. Postecoglou feels much more suited. Let’s hope so.

Paris St-Germain will not be hiring former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager after both parties decided to call off the move. (L'Equipe - in French)

A lot of stories coming out regarding pretty much everything but I feel enthused if some of these are true.

+ Kane staying this season at least.
+ Lenglet and Danjuma options not being taken up.
+ Open to Hojbjerg and Dier going.
+ Links to more technical players.
+ Signing a GK like Raya.

If all of this is true it signals a real change and shows that we are trying to mould the team in Postecoglou's style.

A new coach always needs to be able to walk in the door and lay down the law, showing its his way or youre out.

Dont think Conte or Jose were really allowed to do that - probably because it way risky to let them bring in a load of high earning tactical players wed get lumped with.

Poch had to do this during his first season.

Makes me feel like we will get there quicker with Ange.

Of course all of this needs to actually happen but considering there were strong reports Dier was getting a new contract and Lenglet was going to be kept on, i feel a bit more optimistic itll be Anges team.
(Sorry to be that guy - but we didn’t have an option on Lenglet or Danjuma)

Looking as if Nagelsmann has too much to say for himself and because of that has lost the chance for the Chelsea, Spurs, and now PSG jobs. Perhaps there is more to the BM sacking than we currently are aware.

Odd to mutually walk away from 3 different jobs.

Last thing we needed after Mourinho and Conte was another divisive character.

Apparently the contract was ready for signing but he rolled into the PSG board room on a skateboard. When the Chairman protested, Naglesmann apparently told him, in a strong German accent, "Don't have a cow man" and that was that.

3 good jobs too.
Very different opportunities though. PSG and Chelsea with the big money and Spurs on a tight budget. I think the most common between them is likely he doesn't get full control with either club. I imagine that's what he wants, a club willing to let him have full control and pick his dof.

Really? From the outside looking in, all three clubs look chaotic and have problems. But then, that trait is fairly common with the top teams. 🤷‍♂️

Yep. To pull out of talks to join three of the top clubs in europe, all with exciting projects, to a certain degree, is strange whichever way you cut it. Not many, if any managers are turning down joining the three one after another unless something else is going on.

It does make you wonder what the hell he's expecting.

I assume he is just very careful not to end up in a situation like the one at Bayern, where he obviously didn't have the full confidence of the decision-makers above him in the hierarchy.

If he fails at his next club, it could ruin his reputation, so it makes sense to me that he takes his time with this decision. He is still very, very young for a coach, so he has the time to wait for an opportunity that feels right for him.

That's fair, I would've just thought he'd leap at the chance of another big club but maybe he's willing to bide his time and maybe even go to a smaller club if he gets his demands met?

I suppose if there's one thing in common with the clubs that he's walked away from, it's meddling owners.

Maybe he is happy collecting his wages off of Bayern without the stress of working. Sounds perfect to me.

He just got the tic-tac from one mental board.

Why would he then join a club headed by Nassr, Levy, or Boehly.

3 CEOs who seem to change managers like most people change socks.

3 CEOs who clearly choose your transfer targets for you.

I know this isn’t the Naglesman thread but I wouldn’t want to take on PSG right now…. Messi gone, Mbappe stirring trouble and twerking for Madrid and Neymar, well, just being Neymar…

Maybe he has made his money and he's just going to race cars with Villas-Boas and the kid off malcom in the middle?
