Looking at the window, he has done well with only 2 months since officially starting. Will be interesting to see what he does January and more importantly next summer when he has chance to work with Nuno and see how players react in the coming season.

hopefully we will have higher European football, naming rights and full stadiums to attract the players needed

Nice, that’s another player in Aurier we wanted shifting gone.

That only leaves Winks and Doherty now as Dier and Sanchez have been decent so far and shown they can be important members of squad.

Hopefully I’m figure windows we’ll look to get another right sided midfielder in as we’ve reinforced defence, which was a big priority.

To all those saying where are the goals going to come from to replace those Vinicius, Lamela and Bale scored last season

1. If Scarlett plays in a decent side against the likes of Marine and Carlos Kick-a-ball XI in the cups he will perform as well as Vinicius.
2. Dele was totally frozen out last season, but he is a key player this season and will get a tidy amount of goals if the first three games are anything to go on.
3. Lamela was not prolific. It was one of the reasons we needed to move him on and replace with someone with more end product. Gil is hopefully that person.
4. Bergwijn and Moura spent most of last season playing as extra full backs, under Nuno they will stay high. I’d be surprised if both do not double their tallies from last season.

If Moura and Bergwijn double their tallies as you say, that’ll be 6 for Moura and 2 for Bergwijn. That still doesn’t strike me as being enough. :cautious:

We'll see how his signings turn out, but thought he did very well this summer.

What appears to be some good young players coming in, a lot of players surplus to requirement leaving and £40m p/a off the wage bill (not counting incoming player wages).

Makes me optimistic for the future.

To be fair, he doesn't seem to have done anything that anyone else couldn't have done, he didn't actually perform any miracles !

I’m fine at parties fella???
We’re always 2 signings away from where we want to be. Is it really that hard to get quality players in that can do a job? To have all positions covered.
Have we shown ambition in this window? No. We’ve been left short again? Yes.
It is what it is. Levy isn’t ever going to change even after bringing in a new Director of Football. What a sham that’s been.
Nuno specifically asked for a balanced squad. Fabio/Levy have failed him.
Wonder what would have happened had we not won 3/3. Guess we’ll never know.
I agree about the club but no need to call out other fans.

We're all on the same side.

Not sure, I think the profile of players we have gone for, and some of the creativity behind the deals has broadly been positive. These are more of the type of players that got us to our heights in the past, I'm not sure if we'd have got many of them with Levy running things.

However, he'll now be under no illusions about the difficulty of making the really big and expensive deals happen with Dear Leader clutching the purse strings.

My god I wish we'd got Neves. He would easily be worth £50m.

And there's no way Alli can play that role.
No way Dele can play that role as a #10 or the playmaker in a 3 I agree.

As for Neves, I certainly like him but I don't really see what he adds that we don't currently have. IMO we need less "grafter" type midfielders on the pitch, not more of them.

Neves is an excellent passer of the ball (short and especially long range, it's very effective and beautiful to watch). Much better than Skipp and Hojbjerg, although they are decent passers of the ball, but much more cautious and predictable.

Wouldn’t say he’s done anything amazing this window, but I didn’t really expect him too either. It’s going to take more than one window to judge him.

Wonder if he’ll look to do any business in January?

We don’t tend to usually do much mid-season aside from when ‘Arry took over and we were woefully short up top so was allowed to splash on Defoe and then Keane.

Recap from the Ally Gold youtube video on Reddit.

Odd about only wanting starting striker to play alongside Kane as we don’t play two up top?

Although as has been alluded to we do have Scarlett and Markandy so maybe we just don’t want to be seen as blocking their progress to first team - let’s just hope can get Markandy tied down to new deal.

Id defo hope so ? regardless of whether we are doing well or if we are not. If we are then to main and try to cement a top 4 or even just 4th so we have CL, if we are not doing well then everything we help and add to the squad to give our to push to 4th at least.
