If we play Johnson and Edwards, we may have to avoid conceding corners at all costs but we'd have some good pace and with Edwards, some really exciting ability on the wings.

Would be one or the other surely. I see this more as a ploy to try to drive down the Johnson fee, or he’s our next target if Johnson is deemed too expensive.

Anyone know if we ever reduced our % of the sell on fee for him when we did the Porro deal ? I remember seeing some news about Sporting wanting to renegotiated it or us using the renegotiation of it as part of that deal.

If we still hold the 50% then he'd be a damn sight cheaper than Brennan, although personally i like Brennan far more tbh (two very different characteristics though).

I think his release clause is £52 million too, which means utilising our sell on clause we'd be able to sign him for around £34m.
