Since moving to Wolfsburg he has 19 goals in 50 games and his international record stands at 5 from 27

I dunno how much that tells us about his suitability to us but his records seems good if not spectacular

Works hard but would probably need a strike partner so no good for us.

He is not a free agent. However, Wolfsburg are willing to sell him for a reasonable fee. He's too good to be third choice - but I reckon he'd be a good second choice if we're sending Defoe on somewhere.

He looks like he'd run through a brick wall for the team, then dust himself off and run through another!

Remember thinking we should have gone for him when we missed out on Dzeko (and Wolfsburg got him fairly cheap as Dzeko's replacement). Would be very capable Ade cover.

Don't think any of the 4 Croatians with Spurs connections will be singing our praises at this point in time though...

Unfortunately I reckon that last point is true. It's a shame though as I feel he would be a decent shout as one of two strikers in.

He played well tonight but lets see how he does against Spain and Italy before rating him as the Irish were crap at the back.

Not direct mention, but could very well be alluding to Spurs:

His manager about Mandzukic's next club:

- The only thing for certain is that Mario will not stay with Felix Magath, everything else is unclear. Will he go with Slaven Bilic to Moscow? That's one of the options, but two big English clubs have also shown an interest. I think the Premiership was "made" for Mario.

*****

He has been linked with Tottenham in the past and I wouldn't doubt there's at least "interest." Would it be more than that? I have no idea. But just so you know what's being said (in case anything comes of it).

It's a shame that when players leave us now a days they can't wait to get out the door.

We pay low ages compared to our competitors the annoying thing is these players sign the contract with full knowledge... useless we're not fouth right when players sign, it can lead to disspair... one case maybe i.e. Modric, now looking at Everton they have quality assets yet all seem happy to stay or go back…suppose the wages are good at Everton.
