German paper Sport Bild running story that Slaven Bilic is looking to bring Mario Mandzukic (Wolfsburg) to Lokomotiv Moscow (fee of 14m euros mentioned).

At the end of the report it mentions that Bilic would like to work with him again after the Euros, but that the player apparently also has an offer from Tottenham.

He is not a free agent. However, Wolfsburg are willing to sell him for a reasonable fee. He's too good to be third choice - but I reckon he'd be a good second choice if we're sending Defoe on somewhere.

Unfortunately I reckon that last point is true. It's a shame though as I feel he would be a decent shout as one of two strikers in.

He has been linked with Tottenham in the past and I wouldn't doubt there's at least "interest." Would it be more than that? I have no idea. But just so you know what's being said (in case anything comes of it).

We pay low ages compared to our competitors the annoying thing is these players sign the contract with full knowledge... useless we're not fouth right when players sign, it can lead to disspair... one case maybe i.e. Modric, now looking at Everton they have quality assets yet all seem happy to stay or go back…suppose the wages are good at Everton.
