Whats impressed me about Mandzukic 1. work rate 2. speed for a tall striker... he looks to have good qualities for EPL.

looked very mobile and skilful on the ball.. he's one of those strikers right? the guy that stays upfront and scores? we should really get one those before they all sell out...

Early today Mandzukic said he knows which club he'll be joining but that he'll only talk about it after the Euros. We should be finding out very shortly.

Would not be surprised if Mandzukic followed Bilic to Lokomotiv Moscow

There were talk before the Euros that they had offered him a contract

I really hope not, don't like the trend of our players going to Ukraine and Russia now. Agree these leagues have improved the last years but its still not as competitive as the top european leagues in case of intensitiy of games during the whole season.

But oh well, money rules I guess.

Its not Everton by any chance is it?

He looks like a player we should be aiming to get, very impressed with him at the Euros....

He has impressed at the Euros, strong, mobile and taken his chances well. If we were to sign him and Demba Ba for a combined total of £15m that would be a really good bit of business...

With the news that we are still talking to Remy (25) and Adebayor (28)... add Mandzukic (26) and we could have a very good mixture of pace, strength and workmanship. My only concern would be 'are any of them clinical enough to score over 20 goals?'

I really can't see Adebayor happening. I think Ba is just as good, his £7m clause is up in July, I guess it is just the medical issues which makes it difficult.

Was it just me who wasn't very impressed with Mandzukic in the Euros. I know he worked hard but two of his goals came from sheer luck and I just didn't think he looked like he was that much of a threat imo

It's a tough one to call as several player's have looked half decent at the Euro's, such as Podolski, Johnson, Mandzukic, Bendtner but at club level they are crap. Then you have the likes of Young, Van Persie, Huntelaar who have been terrible but are normally very good for their clubs.

Don't. I fucking love Dzeko.

If City played him regularly up top next season he'd be the real deal.
