to be honest, I'd quite happily welcome Mourinho to the club.

I just question how good he is without Roman's cash?

Will/would not attract the quality of players required to further the CL delusion. As such, would not improve Levy's potential profit....unless we really have entered 'meltdown'.....rhubarb.

Still can't shift the nightmare that Levy and Comolli might think McClaren could fit the bill.....'England's number one'(clown).

Yeah because none of the current players on the planet watched Man Utd as kids when Hughes was playing for them. People forget Utd's WORLD WIDE appeal back then. He is a FAR more recognizable face to overseas players than Jol and most other managers.

The under use of Matt Derbyshire by Hughes doesn't fill me with hope for our young squad. Also, only getting a big name manager do we have any hope of holding on to Berbatov.

So was Kevin 'no brains' Keegan, he's free at the moment.

I actually agree with you, I don't think Hughes would be anywhere near as bad as everyone seems to think.

Can't agree with you about Sammy Lee though, that man is a fool.

We need a Louis Van Gaal to keep Berba.

but to be fair - Berbs has gone. wait til January and he'll be out so fast...

Let's face it, he couldn't do much worse. If he can get us to beat anyone other than Derby, that's an improvement.

Sad, but true.

This sounds sort of plausible... I wanted Klinsmann to come and save us again.

I can't remember Kevin doing a respectable job with the national team like Hughes did. Hughes can make a solid usable purse out of a pigs ear.

What could he do with our superstars? I don't remember Hughes being mentally insane like Keegan either.

I think we do need a change, I don't want that to be the situation, I want us to be topping the league with Jol laughing his merry face all the way to the title. It's just not happening, 7 points from 10 games is just too bad and it doesn't look like it's going to get better. We've got 3 important games coming up and we need to be up for them. I fancy the crowd will start slow on Thursday night, we need the players to come out fired up. It's a two way relationship.

no chance.

he's 1 player. we can't buld a team around him.

That's exactly what you do with very talented players like Man City have with Elano. Having Berba lifts the quailty of our squad above the likes of Villa and Everton.

Or let him go and enjoy a few seasons of a Keane/Bent forward line.
