Defence is fine, scoring goals is our problem and 1 isolated striker upfront don't help

Bent is currently having to win headers then try and win the knock downs while Lennon is hugging the touch line and Modric is standing behind Jenas same thing happens when Pav plays. When we have the ball in open play Modric drops deep to collect the ball which again leave Bent up top marked by 2 defenders Lennon is still hugging the touch line Bentley is dilly dallying and Jenas is standing behind Luka.

The team that harry puts out doesn't look like a team that wants 3 points, on top of the negative formation starting to looks like way Ramos played, controlling the game but not creating anything in the final third. There's no real push from our attacking players to make runs get into space make the defenders worry about something other than Bent. When ever Corluka, BAE, Zokora have the ball no one ahead of them really wants to make anythink happen what resuts in a long ball to Bent. :duh:

Gomes 8 - played well, couple he went for and never got thou
Corluka 6 - nothing wrong, nothing right.
Dawson 7 - Good game
Woodgate 7 - Good game
Ekotto 8 - Was playing well until he went off, i thought the red card was a soft one
Zokora 6.5 - Was fine in the midfield, then he went to left back where his lack of left foot lets him down
Jenas 6 - Played like normal
Bentley 4 - Hes just to slow, He f@#k's up near enough 9/10 of our free kick and corners
Lennon 5 - Still doesn't work the defenders enough, defending is good
Modric 5 - What is his role supporting Bent or supporting Jenas
Bent 6 - Would get better support if he live in Zimbabwe.

The red card made us all defensive and we never looked to win or score after that

I hate it when people express their opinions by emoticons alone, but...

Gomes 7 - Played reasonably well, believe it or not couldve been 3 or 4 if it wasnt for a couple of good saves.
Corluka 6 - Got stretched in the second-half.
Dawson 6 - Some great defending and some not so great defending.
Woodgate 6 - quiet game
Ekotto 5 - Was playing alright before the sending off but looks susceptible to high balls over the top, almost did a 'newcastle' again.
Zokora 5 - zokora was being zokora.
Jenas 6 - broke up all our attacking play.
Bentley 4 - Diver and slow.
Lennon 6 - Old crossing habbit creeping in, of not beating the first defender
Modric 7 - Tried to make things happen, shame no other player in the team has a great footballing brain like him. (shouldnt have been taken off)
Bent 5 - Dived around, and the one chance he did get he shouldve buried it.

O'Hara N/A - not the answers to our prayers, kept losing the ball instead of holding it up.
Bale N/A - Harry needs to apply the shaving foam and the single bladed turkish razor and shave his head, more bothered about how his hair appears and in particular his sideburns than football.
Campbell N/A - Didnt have enough time.

The thing about taking the moral highground on slagging off players is that the players dont give a shit about us in the first place. There's no loyalty in the game anymore and id say that 99.9 percent of the people involved in football would move anywhere to chase an extra buck or two. Because of that, the only thing that we should support is the shirt. Apart from the colour of your home kit, the only other continuity at a club is the fans, and because of that i will happily give a player stick if they deserve it because at the end of the day, they dont give a shit anyway. To criticise someone for slagging off a player who isnt giving his all for a club that we fund is ridiculous-without the players the club will survive, without the fans the club will be fucked and its about time that some of the people in our club were reminded of that.

Once we learn to score we will start winning games. Until then we are in trouble.

Never EVER moan about having good strikers, be it on the bench.

Gomes - 8 - No chance with the goals. Some good stops.

Corluka - 6 Average.

BAE - 5 - Debateable sending off. Was pretty shit before this point mind you.

Dawson - 6 - Clumsy.

Woodgate - 6 - Little of note.

Jenas - 4 - Atrocious. About as dynamic as my big toe

Zokora - 5 - Shifted to LB but still did nothing apart from dive every time a player came in to contact.

Lennon - 5 - Ineffective.

Bentley - 2 - Dog shit. Again. Bored of writing this every fucking game.

Modric - 5 - Lost.

Bent - 4 - Rubbish again. The ball ricochets off him like it's hitting a wall. Championship player.

Redknapp - 2 - Rubbish decisions. Isn't instilling fight in to the players. There is absolutely no visible improvement in our performances since he took over. Simply that he's had a little bit of luck in a few games that Juande didn't get. Tactics are shit. Juande was castigated for playing Bentley on the left, but Saint Harry has the wisdom to do it every sodding game.

We are going down.

Just a small comment as way of a disclaimer before my retort. I am as negative as the next guy this season (see my sig) and I am also not a fan of Harry, he is a decent manager and no more. BUT, this is the kind of comment that just annoys me.

So, we have 2 managers and 1 squad but the constant is that we have been shit for most of the season. Okay, still with me? Our old manager was very succesful before coming to us and is now the manager of Real Madrid. Our current manager is the holder of the FA cup and has a fairly noteworthy career in management in this country for years. So what is more likely?

A. Our squad has been poorly assembled and we are paying the price for it?

B. Both of our otherwise successful managers this season are clueless?

Apart from all of this we dominated the game today while we had 10 men and I thought that if nothing else the players worked hard and competed. The ref was appalling, BAE was not trying to go over the top he was trying to flick the ball onto his other foot ala Zidane, but he was late and is not Zidane. There was no malice in that tackle. Their first goal was a blatant foul and should not have been allowed. We would, and should have got something from the game other than that.

I don't mind a bit of negativity, but when people start typing utter shit, I just can't let it go.

I thpught Gomes was probably our best player.

well here's the telegraph stats

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...efeat-to-West-Brom-paints-gloomy-outlook.html

it confirms my belief that jj did not have a bad game

i could downgrade my 7 to a 6.5 but it's still far more accurate IMHO than a lot of the grades/comments on here

as ever given jjs work rate im confident fuller pro zone stats would back my case even more

i know a lot will denigrate the stats

that's their right of course :)

Sorry but didn't the current Real Madrid manager have a major hand in our current poorly assembled squad?

Who knows

But i have big probs to understand why a spanish manager would going nuts over Bentley and that made us pay £17M. That buy just doesn't add up when saying Ramos had a "major hand"

i only saw from 35 mins but jj was far from annoymous our best mid attack player
gomes 8 jj 7

This Jenas love of yours is getting ridiculous. You're a good poster, but since you frequently say Jenas has a good game when he is being poor, people stop to listen.

Just like, if Arshavin would join Spurs, I would miss the game, come here, and the first post I would see would be Fazza writing Arshavin did great, that wouldn't be enough. I still would have to check other posts to see how he really did (no disrespect Fazza).

p.s: I like Jenas, works hard, and is Tottenham class, but he lacks consistency, disappears in games, and is only an attacking thread in about half the games, if that. The fact that he seems to be our 1st choice midfielder frightens me, and makes me understand why we are so down the table.

sorry for my possible ignorance but dont those stats prove that Jenas was shite?

Someone voted for Bentley as MOM on here!!!!

As much as I admire peoples positivity and committment, can we please stop giving any praise for today? Yes the ref was crap, yes we were unlucky with sending off but we looked decideley average against the worst side in the premiership! We offered nothing, created fck all and looked nowhere near like ever scoring.

Its no good getting points off the top sides (weren't we supposed to be one of them this season?) if we can only take 1 point from Newcastle, Fulham and WBA!

MOTM - ref. I hate blaming the ref, but he really took the game away from the players.

as for the players, pretty much to form. Bentley is a 16 million pound bust, Bale still looks lost, and our strikers still arent good enough. Everyone else was ok.

Utter bollocks. Nevr were we in control of this match. When we were down to ten we seemed intent on sitting back and shutting up shop, hence Twitchys negative subs. If you genuinely feel that we were on top in this game then I feel for you I really do. It must be tough being that stupid.

As for the players trying! Good one. You say it like the players should be congratulated for putting some effort in. Well fucking done lads, thanks ever so much for deciding to run around, I'm indebted to each and every one of you. "Trying" and "working hard" goes without saying.

Jesus some people are easily pleased. I wish you were my boss, work would be a piece of piss.

Oh shut up will you.

Typical holier than thou attitude which I'm sick and tired of hearing.

:clap::clap::clap:

Its really annoying when someone comes up with that kind of remarks when its clear that the team deserves to be criticised.
