Why the fuck is he signing for Real, what a poor move. He will hardly get any game time. He looked a real prospect for Betis last season. I sometimes get the feeling we have no interest in signing Spanish based players, goalkeeper aside. Seems we are very much focused on the French youth which I find strange. Real also picked up Vallejo from Zaragoza who is another big prospect.

Re Kovacic, I would absolutely love him but Barkley is clearly our preferred target. I know Barkley is a AM and Matteo is a CM/AM but they have a similar-ish play style/skill set. Personaly, I would go for Kovacic all day long as he is the better player with bigger potential but Poch only have eyes for Ross it seems.

The 'special relationship' related only to poaching players from their academy and 'sharing' tactics. It was never a two-way street involving their first team. It came to an end when Levy realised RM were basically ignoring the deal.

I think this is because Ross falls into the PL experience category.

Kovacic is more versatile IMO. I could only see it making sense if there were concerns over Dembele's fitness. Having said that, I really want to see more of Harry Winks this season.

Watched the second half of the Spurs v West Ham match, Winks first full match, and was reminded just how impressive he was. Tremendous talent destined for great things.

Seems odd for us to say we are not in for him. He is the kind of next level player we should be signing to progress with this team. On the fringes of one of the BIG clubs, for us he'd play every week when fit.

Not surprised seeing as they just got Ceballos and I can't see him braking into the first team any time soon. Still, I would buy him in a heart beat, always rated him.
