Had webcam "girlfriends" from all round the world, thought the internet was the best invention ever.

Did you tell them all about nutrition and how colonic irrigation could help them shed that excess 60lbs?

I do not see Kovacic remaining at RM. He has been pushed even further down the pecking order. He is not going to wait two or three more years to get to play as a regular. I'm sure he will not be willing to go on loan. He will want to be sold. I believe he is a far superior player to Barkley. He glides by players like Dembele and seems to always draw 2 or 3 players to him which frees up his teammates. Yes, he has deficiencies in his game. He is 23. At Spurs he would get playing time but would have to earn it. I believe he would be an excellent addition to the squad. He won't bring lots of goals but he will free up space for all the players in front of him. I also believe he is affordable. Transfer fee (if rumours are to be believed) are about 25M and salary will be fine. This is one Levy can get done and I think that Pochettino could make this polished player shine.

How has he been pushed further down the pecking order? Madrid supporters, at least from what I've read, see Marcos Llorente as competition for Casemiro and Ceballos as being a player for the future, whereas Kovacic is seen as a player with an important role to play as the main rotation option for Modric (and Modric's eventual heir).

I keep an eye on the Madrid subreddit and have not seen any discussion whatsoever of Kovacic being sold. They had a long thread just yesterday regarding the rest of the transfer window and there was legitimately not a single mention of him going. He is very much seen as being an important player for the club with a big future.

I would love to be wrong as I think he'd be the ideal addition to our squad but I based on what I've read from Madrid supporters I don't think he'll go.

There is only so much time on the pitch. Kroos, Casemiro, Modric are all going to play their minutes with Benzema, Ronaldo and Bale up front. Isco will also get his time leaving Asensio, Llorente, Ceballos and Vukovic sharing the balance of the minutes. I fail to see how he has improved his position with Llorente and Ceballos coming in for Rodriguez. We'll see, but I have read numerous opinions of those in the know who believe someone will have to go. Just too many in the middle of the park. Could also be Levy et al trying to get to a fee for Barkley that is doable, but I believe this has legs. We'll see. It'll be a last minute transfer if it happens. Loan will not be on the table.
