I agree, but he and his agent are obviously using the threat of Inter's interest to negotiate for a better contract. I doubt Perez will be willing to sell Kovacic until Modric's new contract is sorted, which could very well stretch on past Thursday.
How many big players? United is out. Barça is a non-starter. City does not make any sense - if he wants out to play more.
We'd be a better option than any team in Italy bar Juve and I think they're likely done this window.
I agree in theory - unless the player is more comfortable in Italy.
I actually think a swap for Courtouis is a possibility but these swap deals just so rarely actually happen.
