We play a high pressing style, if a player doesn't fit that and therefore, won't work hard for the team, we should not be signing them. We've seen the impact Kane has had on the team, and that's because he pressed from the front. In another country, scores in a very different style of league, Destro is closer to a Soldado type than an all round style striker.
We need a long term plan and not chuck money at a potential patch up job.
What the fuck? I'll take a 30 goal a season striker any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Destro is 23 with very good potential, IMO. He's a long term plan guy that is just beginning the climb to his peak which you reach around age 25 and are there for a good 2 or 3 seasons.
Not a potential patch up job. At £12m and 23 yrs old, it's more like a deal Levy loves. High reward where you can probably double your money, relatively low risk since he's at the age where you could probably still sell for even money in a year or 2 if it doesnt work out.
Bobby isnt working out here but that doesnt mean Destro wouldn't. Useless to continue going on with this though since he's gone to Milan.

Destro really does have fantastic ability, I'd probably take a punt on a loan but as others have said I think he might struggle with the system. It's quite hard to say who would fit the system until you give them a try but when you add in his weight problems you'd probably have to side on the 'probably not'. But hey, this is what Mitchell was brought in for, to do the stat crunching to make sure any target we go for has the attributes to play the style.

He's really not that good. I could obviously be wrong but I don't see him becoming the type of striker we look back on and say we really missed out.

Bbc are now reporting that he has signed for AC Milan on loan with an option to buy.
