We seem to be on a par with all our rivals except Chelsea, who have the best and most settled team. Then again, it's only been four games and many people on here have been incontinent already. According to the written press, we played very well.

We all know we are going to struggle upfront, hopefully Soldado can get a run when he gets back from injury. It's all about staying within touching distance until Jan where hopefully we will back Poch with Schneilderlin and a Striker.
We scored 2 good goals and gave away 2 silly ones. Defence is more of a problem IMHO. We are light at striker but Soldado to get back and goals must come from the midfielders too.

I think you guys are quite hash on Ade, I believe he should have been taken off 10 mins earlier. Considering he arrived back from international game on Thursday. Mist African players with international commitment didn't play this weekend.

I think the way that we're playing atm would suit Soldado - I can imagine those through balls from Lamela and Eriksen would have Soldado scoring for fun.

Watched the game via a stream and personally thought we played really well.
What I liked was the movement, players seemed to switch without even noticing that they had lol,and each player looked comfortable where ever they were.
Were keeping the ball well.....moving it around the pitch....seem to be moving it faster. When we lost it we pressed them well.
Only thing I think we really need is a top striker or one on form.
Ade played well in his link up play and worked hard .....but for a top striker I tend to think his shots are poor most of the time .....never really strikes it clean enough or hard enough when needed......
He did do my nut in near the end of the match where within a few mins he had 2,3 chances to get a shot away and instead of doing so he tried to drag the ball back onto his right then his left then his right and ended up on his ass ....TWICE.
We need a striker that when he sees a chance .....SHOOOOOOT!!
Thought Dembele had a good game .....was strong on and off the ball and just love how he seems to drop a shoulder and beat a man with ease ......and also when he was pressing he won the ball back a lot of times........too be fair the whole team had a decent game and you can see where learning Pochs style/way of playing and can only get even better.

If honest they were lucky to get anything .....fair play for them to keep trying and hanging in there.....but first goal ....only a goal due to a deflection and second goal .....an OG.
So pure luck for them.......but we do need to kill a game and like I've already said a top striker is what we need ( or one on form ).

Would like to see Robbie when fit again given a go as his passing as always been ok and I think when on form he has got a better shot than Ade.

But on the whole ....were looking a much better team than last year COYS

Back line: Rose Kaboul Chiriches Dier

My Arse clenched when I heard that.

We'd have won easily with a bit more class in there in some shape or form.

I couldn't understand subbing Chadli for Stambouli in 71st minute. Surely that's sending a message to the team that we'll keep what we have. (2-1 lead) Why sub Chadli anyway?
