I was more impressed with Muller than with Ozil and that is saying a lot as Ozil looked fantastic yesterday. Muller looked strong and powerful and with a great passing touch. Much better than when I have seen him play for Munich if I am being honest.

i think ull find that it was down incompetitiveness of england players

Was he really that well known a year ago?

probably not by the ordinary premiership fan but certainly by every premier league manager and their staff yes he should have been. scouts are employed by clubs to have such knowledge and if they dont have it then they certainly arnt doing their job properly.

i would be surprised if harry couldnt tell you who the best 3 players are from the u17 ghana team that won the world cup or who the top 5 players are coming through the french youth academies at the minute. its his business to know these things

I would normally say that the World cup shouldn't influence big clubs, but in this case it is going to. He was performing well at club level but you still wonder whether the really big clubs would have taken a gamble on him since what they are looking for is players who can really perform on the biggest stage. Now Ozil is showing very clearly that he enjoys the limelight and the responsibility of driving his team and that will surely have swung the balance from him being a superbly talented young player that might be worth taking in a couple of years, to a must have player.

Oh and by the way with regards to Modric, I think he is a different player to Ozil but regardless I think watching England's lack of ability in the middle of the pitch and necessity to only ever lump it or take a pot shot highlights exactly how good and how important Modric is for us. We should be thankful we have a player with his ability, who I think is only going to get better and better for us.

Would love to have Ozil - but not a reality. However, if we can get the right man to be our man up front we already have the necessary blend in midfield to play a 4-5-1 without him.

Just got to be thankful that we have Modders - for Bale, Modric , Lennon with Palacios and Huddlestone sitting protecting back 4 would work a treat.

You know that Juve only just scraped into the Europa League Qualifying Round, and that City, for all their money, can't offer CL? Werder, despite a very determined and not untypical attempt to cock things up mid-season, have a CL place, the same as us.

Unlikely, I'll agree, but no-one would have believed we could attract Ossie.

Probably right but he would be playing against most of those players if he came to Spurs wouldn't he??

He would get to abuse Upson twice a year, same for Terry and Lampard at Chelsea so it would be fine with me.

We don't need Oezil. So hows about the lot of you leave him at Werder, where I am quite happy to see him ply his trade.

What's so funny about including the richest club in the world in that list?

Like it or not they will get big name players in.

People are gonna have to start to take them seriously.

If you throw enough money at certain clubs and certain players, some of it is bound to be accepted.

u do have to respect the money they have attracts players though, tevez and robinho would probably make any team in the worlds squad right now on their form.

Barca and Real are both said to be after him. If Fab does not join this season Barca are said to seriously go for this guy.
He's sadly already out of Spurs´reach. Next.
