Jose Mourinho's claim that he is 'very unlucky' with penalties being given against his teams by referee Michael Oliver does carry some weight, it can be revealed.

Get the **** and all his **** ref chums in front of a camera after every game to face some actual questions and you'll see them get their **** act together pretty sharpish.

I remember before the game you mentioned concerns at having Oliver officiate. Boy were you right.

The game he officiated against Leicester end of last season where it was 'clear and obvious' to me that he was hellbent on doing whatever he could to give Leicester the advantage. He was totally a twelfth man for them. He shouldn't be anywhere near any of our games, ever. Same for Mike Dean. Those two, Oliver and Dean - I have no doubts that they're partial when it comes to our games.

Well, I can understand why the penalty was given though I can see and agree with arguements against it. I dont see too much wrong with his officiating yesterday.

We got booked for every challenge. They didn’t.

We didnt, Hojbjerg had a few and was warned before he got booked, Lamela had one or 2 before he got his first booking etc. Lets not make up history to support our arguement. No one needs to be fouling you when you hardly have the ball.

We need a new breed of ref, a person who claims respect from the players and fans alike.. Currently referees are wet flannels. Arm them with new rules that reward and punish. Players need to learn respect. Mike refs up , have them explain the call. I feel footballl dosnt want to change because too much will be exposed.

Seriously, I could have refereed yesterdays game and done no worse . Its got to be at a higher standard.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, however, I do know that the main reason for not putting mics on refs is more to do with the foul language used by the players.

Football is practically the only sport that I'm aware of where the players are "encouraged" to question the officials and in some circumstances intimidate them during the cours of a match. I'm not surprised the officiating decisions are so poor. When was the last time you heard pundits and fans criticising the decision of a rugby ref?

That also reflects on supporters of rugby. Decision are accepted becuase thers is confidence in the officials. Possibly, Big decisions could be taken away from the ref as they are getting it wrong too often. Players would have nothing to go against if the ref hasnt got the final say. Players need to be seriously punished for foul mouths. It would soon stop.Time wasting needs to be addresed and so on. Watch Basketball , refs and players are respectful of each other . The disapline is on another level.

I agree there needs to be a big overhaul of the implementation of rules. Using a 10 second timer for getting the ball into play and yellow cards for foul language - zero tolerance. But the authorities are weak, even with the 10 seconds the keeper can hold on the ball that is not enforced as a keeper will hold on to it for regularly more than 15 seconds or keeper coming off the line for penalty and encroachment. With all the technology we have and the assistant refs, they should be able to catch these things but they frequently miss them.
