If that's true then Berba really is surplus to requirements at Man U. Maybe we can have him back instead! Berba and Rossi, now that's a dream team strikeforce. Ok maybe I should stop dreaming now

bit confusing that article. it seems that blackburn, tottenham, juventus and supposedly man utd and i think i saw something about bayern before.

roma rejecting a big team is probably juventus. blackburn is probably the team he rejected. i think man utd is a bluff and if bayern are interested he probably isn't their 1st choice. so if we are really interested then levy needs to stop messing about.

Juventus are trying to sign Mirko Vucinic from Roma for 13-15 million euros (Corriere dello Sport)

Looks like no one wants to pay the 17m euros asking price.

Nobody wants to pay 17m euro I wonder why. I think his agent trying to get his man out so sends out load of false rumours first it Juventus than Manure and now Buyern.

They say smokescreens don't happen in football,

Meeting between #Vucinic's agent and Man United representatives ends on a "positive note" according to the former.

Why would they go through the hassle of meeting his agent if they aren't interested?

I really can't believe the manu stuff.
They have no need for him, they have better and he'd just take up a squad place.

Spurs still negotiating with Roma about how much of the Vucinic transfer will be upfront, a general fee has been agreed, United have not bid

Still not sold that he's the player we need, but at this moment I'll take any reasonable striker willing to score for us.

Do hope he's not our only forward though but I'll be content if he signs

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic's agent claims to have held preliminary discussions with Manchester United regarding a transfer.

Montenegro international Vucinic, 27, has been strongly linked with a move away from Roma this summer after five years in the Italian capital.

Juventus were thought to be favourites to land his signature and Blackburn were also credited with an interest, while Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini admitted earlier this week a departure was almost inevitable.

United now appear to have emerged as surprise contenders to sign the talented forward, with his representative Alessandro Lucci saying contact has been made with the Premier League champions.

Lucci admits a deal is a long way off being agreed as there is not an offer on the table at present, but he is keen to see how things develop.

Meeting

"The meeting with the leaders of Manchester United was yesterday," Lucci told lasignoraingiallorosso.it.

"It has only been a chat, in which no offers have been made nor was there an agreement sorted.

"The English club, however, really like Vucinic, but to see him with the shirt of the Red Devils, there is still work to do."
