I've seen prices quoted as high as 18m, but i don't know if it is Euros or £s!

To be honest Houds, there is not much difference. I've just spent 20,000 Euros half an hour ago and it's cost me just short of 18,000 pounds!!

I balme BBLG. Well he is half greek!!

I don't think those three are completely out of the realms of possibility - in fact, I'd actually go so far as to say that those three coming in seems the most realistic of any combination so far discussed.

:hump:

It's a possibility I guess. Maybe two of the three.

Vucinic and Leandro for about £25m-£28m?

Keane, Crouch and Defoe all moved on for say... £5m for Keane, £8m for Crouch, £8m for Defoe - that'll be £21m coming in.

That would leave us with Pav, Vucinic and Leandro - VDV as a support option.

That would hopefully do the business for us!

I agree with this. Vucinic for me.

Vucinic, Adebayor and Leandro in - Keane, Defoe and Crouch out! Would be a bit of a dream summer....

And then I woke up!

That actually doesn't sound too farfetched. I hate Adebayors guts, but there is no doubt he would be able to do a good job for us up front. Him and Vucinic in sounds plausible, and I hope we keep Pav as per your dream.

Leandro seems a very exciting prospect too.

If we can offload Keane, Defoe and Crouch I'd be over the moon, especially if the three previously mentioned strikers replace them.

It does look good, but i reckon the money coming in, (required) will be from the sales of Keane, Crouch + midfielders or offloading a defender & or GK.

We really do need to lose this, "I don't want him at our club" mentality, as you say, Adebayor is not liked, but if he, or someone similar, was to do the job for us and get us back into the CL, we would be stupid to not take them on board!
Gallas was hated, yet he done a very good job for us, IMO...

I had this debate with my girlfriend last night, she's not much into footy but knows how much I hate Drogba and Adebayor. I was trying to explain to her the logic in us signing either of these and how I would soon get over my hate for them if they started hitting the back of the net for us. She thought I was mad and more than a little fickle.

I support the team, not the players. If Adebayor wants to come here I will welcome him and his goal scoring forehead.

Has Vucinic ever played an extended period of time as a striker rather than out on the left? I've never seen him play so I don't know what he's actually like but a 1 in 3 record playing on the left is pretty good. Would he definitely improve his scoring record playing as a striker or is he better suited out on the left?

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic is “aiming higher than Blackburn,” said his agent. “We can target a prestigious club.”

The Montenegro international has made it clear he wants to leave the Olimpico this summer, but so far the biggest offer has reportedly come from Blackburn Rovers.

“We had an initial meeting with director Walter Sabatini three weeks ago and will get back together for talks when Vucinic returns from vacation,” agent Alessandro Lucci told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have had no contact with Blackburn. They are a respectable club, but we aspire to something higher than Blackburn and can aim for a prestigious side.

“Vucinic is unhappy because of the environment he is in and is a result of the rapport between player and fans. For many months now he is no longer loved by the supporters.

“Now Mirko needs to relax and a solution will be found.”

Judging by those comments from his agent it seems like he's definitely on the way out and would be interested in joining a club of our stature. Prestigious, but not necessarily of the elite

Vucinic future uncertain

Roma forward asked to consider next move while on holiday

Mirko Vucinic's future at Roma remains up in the air, according to the club's sporting director Walter Sabatini.
The Montenegro international has become disillusioned with life in the capital after dropping down the pecking order following a loss of form last season.
Juventus

are heading the queue for his signature, but Blackburn Rovers

have not given up hope of luring the 27-year-old to the Premier League.
A transfer is by no means a formality, though, with Sabatini

suggesting Roma

wish to convince the striker to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
He told TeleRadioStereo: "I tried to get him to think positively. He is very bitter.
'Technical ability'

"I remind everyone that Vucinic is a champion who has the technical ability only possessed by five or six players in Europe.
"The affection of fans is required for all players, especially for someone like him because he feels this low esteem.
"These are things that can be recovered with the help of Mirko. People have to tune into the psychology of the players, but players must also make their contribution."
Sabatini added that Vucinic has been asked to consider his future while on holiday, but admits the player will be sold if he returns with the same attitude.
He said: "If, on his holidays, Mirko finds the necessary serenity to be a Roma player her will make us win many games. If this does not happen, he will be a player on the market."

Well he seems to be available to some degree. I'd be very surprised if we weren't interested.

Vuciinic is definitely someone that we should be looking at closely. Has great technical ability, combined with an acceptable turn of pace, and he's also strong enough for our league. Can play up on his own, or wide left in 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Whats more is he would be within our price range, is still in his 20s, affordable wages, and looking to move.

One of the best options for us, that isn't a long shot or fanciful

Harry's probably never heard of him.

He's a fan of Kevin Davies though. He's a triffic lad.
