Felt very sad seeing him there at first but like others have said, very happy for the guy by the end.

Good luck Luka.

Felt really glad that his debut went well. He deserved this move, as did football in a way, and I can forgive him for trying to make it happen.

Was pleased for Luka. Would love him back here, if he wants.

Should never have acted the way he did last season and shouldn't have refused to go on our tour. Having said that, at least we got plenty of years out of him and doubled our money. Plus it's got us a partnership with Real Madrid, so one day Ronaldo will probably join us yeah? >_<

But yeah happy for him now because I can watch him and enjoy it, if he had gone to anyone in England I'd hate the little rat face. Least at Madrid he will be good to watch but Barcelona are winning the league by a mile this year, can't see Madrid going back to back.

Also Fifa will be fun with Madrid ;p

Alonso Khedira
Modric Ozil
Ronaldo Benzema

Don't usually play 4-2-2-2 but that is going to be incredible!

The guy is a scumbag and treated the club with contempt and so i couldnt care what happens to him. Plenty of players out there that want to leave their clubs but carry on putting the effort in until they get their move. Modric did the opposite....twice!

did anyone else feel he was struggling to keep up with the tempo of the match even though he only came on for the last five mins

Not at all, look at his touches that he made. Almost had a goal and an assist. I think the Madrid fans will be quietly pleased with what they saw from him. Also put in a great tackle too.

Doesn't care what happend til we finished this deal but when I watched that game yesterday it felt like: look, the best game in the world...and one of ours is involved. I am proud and I for my self wish Luka all the best at Madrid, will follow him!

Agree, fully.

He was only on for the pitch for 10 mins, we've got squad members who'd struggle to manage that much of a contribution over two legs.

Playing in an attacking midfielder role behind Benzema

Looks very good. Did he ever play for us in that position?

I can see him getting a lot more goals

If he breaks into double figures then I'll eat my own scrotum. Great passer but he shoots like a ten year old.

He's good at scoring when he is re-directing power in the ball from a low cross, when he is advancing into the box with the ball moving forward, or when he can catch it on the half volley. No power issues in those cases. It's when he has to generate his own power with the ball at his feet or from short passes to him with little pace on them, that he struggles. Thats generally when he scuffs it, when he is trying to generate his own power on the shot

His passing has been very sloppy so far. Strange role for him, although no doubt BC's pants will be wet with him in the advanced role. Strange he's replaced Ozil, as a goal threat in the number 10 role it's Ozil all day for me.
