Im sure Palacios and Zokora can help re-create such a scenario.

Seems like you have been put in your place and your back tracking on your original opinion of Modric. You're now saying he is as good as malbs, but I remember you saying how Malbranque would looke twice as good as Modric in the croatian team or the Croatian League.

I cant wait for the minute when Modric has a bad-ish game, gets barged off the ball, and then you start calling him shit again.

I said Lennon would look like the best player in the world if he played in the Croatian league.

Palacios is an all rounder, not a DM. Zok is a utility player that is getting the job from effort alone. And I commend Zoks effort, but not what he gives us "winning edge" wise.

When I did a thread about Modric vs Malbs, it got locked. Because everything I said became true and the red faced brigade could not handle it. I couldn't even post an "I told you so" on that thread.

Look at the monsters that play along side him in his national team. They are automatons that are solid pros.

Look at where Bentley came from: Blackburn were the most PHYSICAL team in recent Prem memory. They were pretty much thugs. So that allowed Bentley to do his thing.

Spurs lack of STEEL from the front 2 and midfield mean that Modric has no protection. And was kicked the shit out of while Lennon and Bentley minced around.

We can't have Lennon, Bentley and Modric in the same midfield skipping among the daisies against the top 4 sides away from home. In order to play Modric in the midfield, we need at least a Barry and a Carrick to do the water carrying for him.

Modrics inclusion in the midfield (along with Zok/Pal) means lose either Bentley, JJ, Lennon, Dos Santos etc etc.

For every Scholes you need a Keane. And we don't have a single DM. Zok is NOT a DM. He is just forced to play like one.

Fair enough.

When are you gonna answer my question though?

Ok...I'm being serious though.

Are you gonna answer my question or not?

We need 3 physical midfielders that can head the ball, track back and be all around athletes in order for Modric to be included in a midfield and play to his strength. Then he will be fantastic. Like he is for Croatia.

He is a good player, in the right mix of player. Not with a Lennon and Bentley. It is just too weak. Or too average with Zok in it.

Brilliant.

Do I really need to repeat my question? What is this?

Gibbs. Why is Modric a good player (or like you now describe him; fantastic)? What makes Modric good? What are his strengths?

monsters??croatia have only 1 monster and that is the DM niko kovac who does the dirty work, the rest is on level with modric in terms of technique, passing, creativity etc..thats why he`s CONSTANTLY performing for croatia..it`s his first season here so pls give him some time and let him adapt ffs.

Urgency, passing, work rate, gas tank, guile, close control, effort, basic ball control.

So he's a midfielder that can't create goals, can't score goals, can't tackle and he can't break up play.

But you still think he's fantastic?

What's up with that?

Can he tackle create and score? He is around Dawsons level at scoring. And as for his tackling..well. And Malbs has created 9 goals this season. So chuckle away.

Malbranque plays RM for them and much of what they do goes through him, he was never used like this for us, our fans would not accept him playing there ahead of Lennon. Much in the same way that Murphy looks class for Fulham or Benayoun did for West Ham.

go and stick your stats up where the sun don't shine.

where modric is concerned, i'll believe what my eyes tell me over the stats.

do you really think modric would not be firing on all cylinders in the spurs team malbranque played in? or the sunderland team? do you? really?

Oh gibbsy, the bastion of knowledge.

Darijo Srna, Niko Kovac (who has since retired) and Niko Kranjcar. All amazing athletes and "monsters."

And Luka plays in the middle of a 4-4-2 for Croatia, so I have no idea what you're on about.

A lot of their play has been going through fatty on the left too. We have a terrible habit of making players look worse than they are by putting them in ridiculous formations.
