If we finish 3rd and Harry stays I still think Modric will look to engineer a move out of Spurs. It just seems like it's in his head to move for some reason (money?)

Luckily for us we hold all the cards and with (hopefully) CL football and his long contract it will be very difficult for the teams that need his type of player (Utd and Chelsea) to cough up enough money to buy him

I'm not getting worried about it because I DON'T BLOODY CARE! If he stays great, if he moves then thanks and goodbye, life goes on. There are greater things in life to worry about.

IF we can finish above one of the Manchester clubs then the only reason he will leave tottenham is through greed which makes a mockery of an interview he gave over a year ago saying e gets embarrassed but the amount of money footballers get

Cheers for passing on mate. I don't actaully think ManU can afford him, but I do still think that he wants out. I braced myseld for this last summer, thinking he would give us one more season and then he's off, regardless of where we finish.

For all of the people saying that he should have got a photo with him or talked to him, I wouldn't of. But thats just me. I think these guys are just normal people trying to live a normal life, why shold we hound them and bombard them with questions. But as I say, thats just me.

I'd hound him like a motherfucker. At the end of the day, I end up going home with a picture whilst he goes home to his mansion making sure he got payed his 70 odd thousand pounds for the week

Just thought id share it. Now I know I was wrong too.

You were right to post it. I for one believe you.

What is incredible is that instead of the non-believers just ignoring the thread and finding something better to do with their lives, they take the time out to slag you off.

I for one would certainly try to speak to a Spurs player but I wouldn't want to get a photo taken.

Odd one, judging by the behaviour of the little man over the move to Chelsea i would have thought this kind of story would be given to a newspaper before some bloke in a pc shop.

Quite funny to remember that last summer when people were saying we shouldn't sell him to Chelsea as they were our rivals they were ridiculed for thinking we could rival chelsea and now we shouldn't sell him to Man Utd as they are our rivals.:)
I said last summer that we wouldn't sell him on a chelsea ambush but we'd wait a year to prepare and take maximum dosh for him, that still seems likely unless he asks to stay.

Haven't City bought half of Arsenal's first team over the past 2/3 years?

Adebayor, Nasri, Toure & Clichy

It could be argued that the Goons are well on their way to not being a top team anymore...in part because they sold a fair few of their better players (and Clichy ) to a rival

I would say only Nasri on that list is a player that Arsenal didn't want to lose...and look at the consequences for them this season.

The point I'm trying to make is that the top sides don't regularly sell their best players to one another.

City might begin to change that (RVP ), but traditionally it hasn't happened often.

I suppose Torres is another example, but Liverpool wern't in the top 4 when they sold him.

And this.

Funny how people 'choose' to believe the story on Ryan Nelsen being gone in 5 months which has been posted by another user, which is comething they would want to believe.

Yet thsi story, because it is something we dont want to hear, is disregarded as bullshit.

It'll take a huge effort to keep Modric at Spurs this season. Massive. The fact he hasnt signed a new deal yet speaks volumes for me. We havent matched what is likely to be his ambition in the transfer window and we are likely to lose our manager at some point in the next 4 months. So we can offer him no stability, but maybe champions league football (which is in serious doubt if we dont beat Newcastle). I dont think that will be enough for him. He'll want more than that. We'll need an early, Major managerial appointment, and we'll need to recruit the right players in the summer. Not necessarily spend £100m, but sign the right players to improve us.

I thought I'd answered this, above: I haven;t called Matrix a liar, I haven't dismissed his version of events - even so there is quite a lot that just doesn't equate.

I pretty much did the same thing. Last Summer, as some of you will remember, my attitude was over his dead body should we allow ourselves to be bullied by a rival club into selling our best player, especially not if it wasn't for top dollar and it wasn't made abundantly clear that we were ruining the Chavs ringpiece for life, over it (and they were not prepared to offer the type of money that would do that). Or, as someone put it, above, we were being ambushed by the Chavs.

Now, as long as we are seen to be in control of the situation, screw top dollar out of it, and have more than adequate cover, I could live with him being sold - but not to one of our rivals.

sorry i dont believe itk but if its true and he does want out again then fine but under no circumstances sell him to a rival.. we do not strengthen rivals of any sort .... even if united came in with 100 million bid they should be told in no uncertain terms to do one... if he wants out sell him to barca or madrid and get a tasty like for like player in return maybe..

selling to rival is not on imo and a pure sign of weakness as a club

So you saw Luka and said hello and he said, "I am wondering whether to but the iPod Nano or shuffle and i would like to play for Man Utd next season".

Sounds highly plausible.

Paraphrase it like that to justify the fact you don't wanna hear and don't like it but Matrix has no reason to lie at all.

Players aren't fans and we're in the food chain same as everyone else. Man Yoo are one of the biggest clubs in the world and he'd like to go there - so would most professional footballers, it's a no brainer.

However, he isn't Berba and he'll do as he's told like a good boy - expect him to be playing for Spurs next season.

I got hold of some info once when my cousin picked up Gus Poyet in his cab and like a fool I posted it on here - aside from the shit that followed my stupidity the amount of fuckwits on here who gave me shit (basically calling me a liar) was unbelievable. And you know why? Mainly because he said he thought Berba would leave (which he did). But people didn't wanna hear that so they attacked the messenger. Yeah it sounds odd but it's not as strange as you may think that Modric (or anyone else) would talk about their future etc.

But there are plenty who have not called him a liar, but have questioned the content of his post - you seem to be going the other way, and suggesting that anyone who doesn't just accept it at face value is a fuckwit giving Matrix shit.

So this is probably going to be my one and only bit of ITK info ever.

Me and my good friend were in the Apple Store in Regent Street yesterday morning looking to buy a computer and to our surprise standing there on his own was little Luka! My friend being what he is (staunch UTD supporter) went straight up to him and started talking to him. Asked him about life at Spurs and what his plans were in the summer. This is where it gets a little interesting. My mate hadnt mentioned he supported Man U yet but Modders said hes hopeful something will happen in the summer in regards to United. This is all dependant on where we finish in the league and if we can keep our best players (i assume Bale VDV etc) who we buy and most importantly WHO the manager will be in the summer. Then my mate said he was a big Man U fan and would love to see him at Old Trafford to which Luka replied with I would love to play for Man United some day.

There you go!

I drove into my local KFC the other night at 9.26pm and who should be taking my order from behind the counter

Luca Modric, couldn't believe it!

We had a chat, he said he would never leave Tottenham, loves Daniel Levy and even if Man City offered him 300k a week it wouldn't be anywhere near enough to persuade him to go

I wished him luck for the rest of the season and for the rest of his entire career at Tottenham, took my bargain bucket at proceeded on my way

Believe me or not I really don't care

Would it really surprise anyone if Modric still wanted to leave in the summer?....

I know he doesn't like the Chicken Badge...but surely, he wouldn't give up his free time just to massacre and cook the little feathered buggers

Did he give you an extra hot-wing
