No Juve players guesses in here. It’s pointless as they won’t get confirmed so please don’t clog everything up. Thanks.

Maybe they're all wrong and under the right coach Kudus could be a superstar but fans are normally a good gauge of a player.
I’d agree with this, in general like you say, but it can also change quickly for irrational reasons. Nothing like rumors of a move to suddenly turn a good player into the world’s worst.

Surely it's an issue for everyone? For context, these are some quotes from Ajax fans on Reddit a few days ago. Obviously these are random fans and I've no idea if they're sensible or thick as pig shit but worth sharing all the same:

"Can't recall the last player who was clearly so talented, who I couldn't care less about leaving."

"He has absolutely no football IQ; limited tactical knowledge and lives offside. Completely gave up on the team a couple of times as well near the end of last season, not pressing when required."

"He has flashes of amazing for us, just doesn’t fit our team. Very individual player."

"Great player, but essentially no tactical knowledge and doesn't really seem to want to learn it."

"Very happy with 40m. This man can dribble like Messi but I would never trust him somehow."

"So much potential, yet always goes offside."

There are dozens of these. It reminds me a bit of when Newcastle fans were laughing at us when we paid £30m for Sissoko in 2016. Maybe they're all wrong and under the right coach Kudus could be a superstar but fans are normally a good gauge of a player.

While you make a good point, didn’t Juventus fans tell us Bentancur and Deki were shit? Perhaps Ajax fans are being harsh on him knowing he wants to leave.

Perhaps Kudus needs the right coach to help him develop tactically? It’s not as if they’re saying he’s a rubbish player or limited technically etc. Sissoko had major limitations on the ball, you can’t really go from a shit touch to a good one. Where as you can definitely improve tactically.

Not saying he’s guaranteed to work out but the reason scum, Chelsea, Brighton etc are looking at him is they probably think they can work on the tactical side of his game which will help him explode as a player.

The tactical part links in to what I said about him not really having a best position yet. It’s definitely very important and if he doesn’t develop it, it will hold him back as a player.

If we signed him I’d be confident Ange has a plan for him.

Based on Ange’s new quotes via Alasdair Gold, we won’t be buying players like him or Eze this window especially without moving nearly ten players on beforehand. So no point getting your hopes up.

Which quotes mate - we’re obviously taking to certain people (hence the ITK). So I wouldn’t be entirely dismissive of people’s hopes.

Could it be that he wanted a release clause with Brighton only? We’re a big enough club that he wouldn’t want one with us, surely!
It could also be that he’s seen the price tag Brighton have put on Caceido and thought that they might well price him out of a future move without a release clause.

That's a good point, hadn't really considered that. If we do make a move then hopefully my fears are unfounded.
