I really hate Monday night football.

Especially when we're involved. It's just a pointless bean counter.

The only time I can recall a Monday night football worked was when we were 4 nil down at half time and we came back to win ( it was a victory) and scored 4 goals to level a match. But it felt like a victory for once.

We are not Americans. MNF. Isn't part of our psyche.

End it.

The trouble is that when Sky took over Association Football way back in the 1990's the British/European public were looking for new fresh live football and wanted to see Man Yoo's / Woolwich / Liverpool / dare I say it : Newcastle - on a set 'special night but when reality called folk realised the Norwich vs Cov wasn't going to cut it whichever way they packaged it.

And then came along the E. Champions League and Spurs were window lickers for 20 years

I am American and I fucking HATE MNF.

First the International break, and now this. Sucks.

It makes even less sense playing on a Monday, considering we have a Europa League game on Thursday!?

Looking forward to G Neville providing some good analysis on us more than anything.

I absolutely love mnf! It means I do something productive on the weekend without torturing the other half with sports and it makes waking up on a monday morn tolerable. Evening football is so much more exciting too!

Best thing about MNF football... No Jamie Redknapp

Just seen a Sky advert for the North London Derby and that twat is supposed to be the Spurs representative alongside Henry :banghead:

Overall, I like it. I like games every day if possible.. except when it's us. I like Saturday 3pm games. Monday feels like waiting an eternity for the game I actually want to see.

It works well if you're in the UK watching UK football, other timezones and it's a pain. For me, it'll kick off at midnight. I can't watch as often as I'd like.

I agree, have to say (and risk a few disagrees here) that I would prefer JJ being our representation over redknapp. Been slightly impressed with him on match of the day!

Risk a few disagrees? I was under the impression everyone thought Redknapp was a wanker stealing a living?

Would very much like us to continue to bolster our GD, but 3 points, however it comes, is more than welcome.
