I still don't understand the logic of buying the corner pin when every other property we've brought has been North of the existing stadium or on the same block, presuming we're not re-routing Park Lane, what will The Corner Pin be used for? Is it just a case of it being on the market at a reasonable price and the club thinking 'why not'? Or is it part of some grander scheme? Shop? Offices? Just extra housing development?
As far as I know, or what I was told by the guvnor of the two brewers, it will be re-opened.
My assumption is that as it was on the market, they decided to buy it as it normally does a good trade on match days, the thinking being if you can't persuade the majority to drink beer inside the ground before the game, may as well make money outside.
