No, I'm not so sure on what your spouting about him.
I made a point of watch Southampton and MS when I could last season probably 5/6 occasions not including our matches when he was poor btw and he was v good vs Man U and average in the other times I saw him. He is good defensively but I though he was no better than what we have with the ball

Sounds like you need some time out

Yeah ok mate I've not said anything out of the ordinary I just don't agree with you. I believe for the price mentioned our money is better spent else where , you obviously feel differently which is fair enough but don't try to belittle me for not agreeing with you

I've got a mental block regarding this transfer, so I can't bring myself to get excited due to the ITK. I've given up, so if somehow pull this off, I will be amazed and incredibly happy.

This story comes from the Evening Standard, which is typically more reliable than the Express.

Not anymore. The Standard has gone downhill in the last years or so.

Schneiderlin is an absolute no brainer. Ticks every single box. Never gonna be a player of the year but will raise the level of the whole team. Finally a Carrick replacement too.

Remember how much Palacios and Parker improved us as a unit when they came in? MS would bring that again, at a higher level. Thought of him and Bentaleb with Eriksen in front is beautiful.

He's probably not going to increase in value like a kondogbia or kramer, but he's a sure thing. Its so unspursy I love it. Just need to pull it off.

I would be very surprised if we land MS. He has stated on numerous occasions, that he wants a CL club.

£25M is too much for him IMO. He would be an upgrade on what we have but for £25m? Not for me.

A midfield 3 of MS, Bentaleb and Eriksen sure looks great on paper but doesn't fill me with massive joy as I don't greatly rate Eriksen in the centre, is just too anonymous for me. As much as we need someone defensive in the centre of midfield I also think we need someone agile/with playmaker abilities. I'd much rather see Cabaye in that midfield 3 with Morgan S and Bentaleb to be honest.

Eriksen starred for Ajax playing as the most advanced player in the 433 and even played deeper at times. Obviously in Holland, you don't have as many physical center mids but he is MORE than capable of playing in the middle if he has defensive cover. When we played Southampton the second time in 2014, we played 442 and Eriksen played as a center mid and have a game high in tackles..he's made for a 433.

I hope you're right. I personaly prefer him from the left, am yet to be convinced by his performances in the middle for us to be honest.

Well in the 4231, the no.10 has to push up high close to the striker...Eriksen is most effective when he has the ball deep and is part of the build up or running with the ball, the formation doesnt bring out his strengths. Playing on the left allows him to drift deeper and get the ball rather than being crowded out in the middle.

Am I the only one who believes Kramer may have more of a presence than MS and a greater likelihood of being dominant?

Both would be great and in my opinion would allow the team to "play" and to really function as it should. That's why they are the make or break players or mould of player for the summer. Comolli released a video comparing all of the center mids and it is brilliant. Compares Kramer/Schneiderlin amongst others.

Don't you love how we play a formation that only suits a couple of the players in the squad. #Spursy
