I am told it is still quiet on the Schneiderlin to #MUFC front. Can't imagine it will be for too long

I just read a Sport Bild article that says Schweinsteiger is tending towards joining manure after he got an assurance from Van Gaal guaranteeing a first team. Would they sign both Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin?

Stuff like this gives me too much hope! I just know Man Utd will cave at the last minute. Thing is I could genuinely see Utd going for Schweinsteiger instead and Arse seem to be out of the race. City will probably go for Delph at the lower price.

I wonder how strongly MS and his people will stick to this deadline of theirs if Utd don't come knocking this week?

Presumably they think their excessive reporting of the move on SSN has made them a tidy profit via their betting site.

Schweinsteiger gave an interview on German TV where he denied all rumours of a move to Manure, says he is focused on winning a 4th Bundesliga title in a row next season.

This was basically our last shred of hope out of the window tbh, fully expect Schneiderlin to sign with them this week now.

If schneiderlin rates us his 3rd choice or whatever it is and he is holding out for better then he can jog on. He could have played a pivotal part in a team full of promise and cemented a national team place. I would laugh if he became a bit part player at a cl club and drifted into obscurity. Playing us like a violin and we deserve better.

not one of the kids u guys are talking about (Alli, Carroll, Mason, even Bentaleb) are a true defensive midfielder like Schneiderlin I don't understand why u keep trying to compare or say we'll be fine with one of them in that postion

Schniederlin is not a true defensive midfielder either, wanyama is the defensive shield.

What? Wasn't it Southampton who promised they'd sell him and then when they realised the fans were completely annoyed by the board selling all their players - I think the Chambers sale was the tipping point - they then reneged on their promise even though he was adamant in wanting to move to Spurs? I also remember reading that we'd matched the asking price and everything but they just flat out refused to sell him and that's why he posted that tweet about being annoyed because they'd broken that promise.

The way I remember last year going down is that we had an agreement with Morgan and Southampton to buy him, it was all settled when Morgan went off to international duty. Then while he was on international duty they sold half their team and the fans started to complain, on his return they done a 180 and declared him not for sale under any circumstances.

IMO. We should give up on Schniedertin,and go for Wanyama, or other targets for DMF
