Maybe he simply means he's going from one europa team to another, and likely to be fairly close to each other next year too. A step up is a champions league club. Doesn't mean he meant as a club, history ect. Just the reality of the playing side

I think people are reading the sideways comment wrong - no indication that Schneiderlin said it, or feels that way. Read much more as opinion from Lyall Thomas

Lyall is so full of crap... he definitely nicks his info from here. He tweeted out today that the club backed the manager on MS then deleted it? Almost verbatim from Jasper's ITK. Hi Lyall (I know you're reading this)

Agree with this as well... considering Lyall knows nothing anyway

Utd have Blind, Herrera and Fellaini fighting over 2 spots and that's not forgetting Carrick may stay for another season and Van Gaal's tendency to only play 1 cm with Rooney dropping into midfield. It would be a change in set up and more of a squad role if he went to Manure.

I'm always confused when it comes to current united. As when our ITK's implied that Van Gaal has players forced upon him. Could Morgan be one of these players?

I would be happy if they truly were not interested. Do you think Morgan would put playing for a club on the continent in the CL over playing in the prem?

Sorry to shit on your cornflakes but he actually said the complete opposite, saying there was no chance Schneiderlin would come here.

When did Lyall say we backed Poch? Has anyone here seen that tweet?

Oh well if this is all true and Ms thinks he can do better, we move on rabiot cabaye or kondogbia it is then. At the end of the day he ain't no world beater it's bloody June lots of twists and turns yet the window is always a bumpy ride, but 3-4 decent signings mainly on the attacking front and I'm bang up for the new season!

Now give me martial benteka kondogbia get Pritchard into the 1st team and keep lloris and Kane and we are in good health

#Tottenham's head of talent ID Rob Mackenzie gives an insight into why the club signed Kieran Trippier....

Rob Mackenzie @MacRob85
@trippier2 played more mins, delivered more crosses & created more chances than any other full back under 25 in a Top 5 League. Productive.

Wrong thread?

Little bit, but just adding to the Poch/Mitch bit by showing the justification behind the transfers.

Seems polar opposite to signings of old, which were seemingly made on status and not logic/suitability.

If we chase the MS thing, it must be for a very good reason and I reckon the board are ready to support it/them

Sorry to shit on your cornflakes :sneaky:
That was in reference to Trippier, he then said MS wouldn't happen. I'm sure Levy will back them on their targets, as it's clear we have a long list, but only the ones which are truly feasible.

Sure - but he said the club was backing Pochettino, ITK has said the club is backing pochettino. I feel very confident that Levy is backing Pochettino (and Mitchell).

Only think Lyall said was that Schneiderlin wouldn't come as its a sideways move - not that the club did not make a full offer for him.

Well, he said there's no chance we've bid what Southampton want, which is what ITK suggested.

Isn't Lyall Thomas one of the most unreliable (BS'er) twitter journos going?

Just tweets the obvious news.

I'll wait for Harry to leak it first :ROFLMAO:
