The positive ITK is the same as last year 'we've got this'... only for no one exciting to sign.

Then perhaps you'd all be better off hearing nothing!

The negativity is ridiculous considering the transfer window doesn't even open for another week.

Chill Trix, we appreciate your insights.

Personally I think SC needs a good cryptic just not one with colours. :)

With Pool going all out to strengthen, u cannot blame the faithful for being anxious. We don't want another season to rebuild. We had 2 off season and this season we must compete. I have to stay up till 2 am my time to read all these disillusion affects my mood as well the next day...lol

Levy must back Poch. Just go all out and get MS... Period. Most fans are fine if we do one top quality player per season.

There is being anxious and then there is looking for a reason to have a go at the club/Levy/Baldini because it suits their already mind made up agenda. I often try to post what I hear in as much detail as I can mate, and it is completely obvious that certain posters(not just on here) pick through 4-5 pieces of positive info to find the best way to put as negative a spin on it as possible. This is happening more and more and tbh I am sick of being part of it. I know there are plenty of top posters on here(and elsewhere) that take it for what it is(an early insight into what might happen) but then there are others that it seems are only interested in using every opportunity to slag off the club.

If Liverpool have to blood in 6 new players next season then its going to take time for them to gel, if they gel at all, last seasons massive recruitment campaign sent them from 2nd to 6th

Stability is the key to success not mass player turnover

Stop worrying about Liverpool

Well said. Unfortunately it's not just on the internet but at White Hart Lane. Folks around me are so negative during a game and slag everyone off. Away support is better as you get more diehard followers. I wonder at times why people turn up sometimes when they start moaning from kick off to the final whistle. Anyway I digress as it's a comment on attitudes rather than ITK.

If anyone has any hand in making @TrickyVilla not post stuff, we will just ban you (not @TrickyVilla) from the entire site forever. So, fellow SC'ers, can we please just think about that before we get our post-GCSE exam knickers in a twist.

To be fair, the transfer window might not officially be open and deals might not be going through immediately once they're finalized but it doesnt matter if its open or not. Many deals have gotten done since the season ended and many others are in various stages of discussions. Hell, we've already gotten 2 deals done, Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier.

It's the beginning of the summer and there are 2.5 months left. Anything can happen. People gotta calm down a bit. Myself included.

Hey trix, I am not defending the outburst but just to share the frustrations. Your goodwill is always appreciated and of course in any society we have a fair share of negative lots. Nevertheless, I want the club to be realistic bec there are only a handful of top players and they won't come cheap. Period.

That is why we sold Bale....

Good plan

Much as COYS is a North Korean style police state, they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to 'ITK worrying', good that same applies here

Of course We have already completed two, and are working on multiple fronts to get others done, not sure on your point?

I edited my post after what you've quoted, mate. But my point is that even though the window hasnt officially opened yet, it doesnt mean that deals arent getting done. But I completely agree that the negativity right now is a bit ridiculous since we still have 2.5 months left in the summer. People have to calm down a bit, as do it. The transfer windows are always a bumpy ride to begin with.

What does being realistic mean though? It's not like we are just plucking names out of the air, and much research is being done before the long and difficult pursuit. We will have spoken to the players representatives in the majority of cases very early on, so we know if we are completely wasting our time or not. The problem is like in Morgan's case we are targeting players we could get but they are good players so inevitably other teams want them also. The alternative is to go after substandard players or major risks.

I think Liverpool are going to implode this coming season, I don't think Rodgers is a very good manager and I have a feeling Pool fans are going to turn on him and its going to get ugly real fast.

Agree so let's do it at an acceptable price for a in demand player.

I keep wondering what if we got Moutinho instead of Dempsey during AVB time.... Just saying.

While Im only interested in what we are doing i do think Liverpool have done ok business and that includes possibly clyne coming in.
We finished above them last year and its possible to do it again, obviously depending on who we bring in to strengthen us but the signings they have made will see them be a real threat to us and fourth spot.
