It's great to see so much faith in our manager and players that some people have. Written the season off before it's near starting.

We are what we are, time may change that or a mega rich buyer.

Have a little bit of "blind" faith and support your team.

Liverpool have reportedly bid £12m plus Borini for Delph with the Villa fans valuing him at £25-30m... another example of grossly overvalued English players.
One of the gutter press this morning said that Delph has a 10m release clause. That's still 5m too much.. anyway, as long as he stays far away from us. Let Liverpool pay over the odds for him.

What a bizarre way to look at it.

MS would really strengthen us, who cares who they get or don't as a result. They'll be able to attract more top quality regardless of those two players.
Yup, we can't look at it as Arse and Untied getting stronger, we should consider that we are stronger, and even if we are not closer to top-4, we are further away from middle of the table.

And honestly, I think the upgrade to Schneiderlin for us is much greater than Arsenal and United upgrading to Vidal and Schweinsteiger

I, for one have been impressed by Delph in the few occasions I have watched him.
Would take him over N'zonzi or Mcarthy.

If so, Delph's agent played a blinder. Got Delph Bosman level wages, and a £10 million release clause.

If the release clause is true, then Delph's definitely off this summer and the only question is whether he wants to go somewhere like Man Shitty and stagnate, or go to a top half club where he'll play every week.

Can't say I've watched anything of villa other than the cup final  but the game he had for England against Italy I think it was? Was as bad as anything that I've seen from a spurs midfielder since Vinny Samways was plying his trade.

This is why I don't get athletes. If I had the option to be a teams first choice and have a hand in hopefully bringing CL back to WHL then I would jump on it as opposed to waiting to see if I'll be some teams sloppy seconds. Then again, there is probably more to it then that.

It's basically like this for most of them. If you have a choice between let's say Madrid and Tottenham, you will probably choose Madrid because even though you know that the probability of making it is lower, you still might and if you do your career is set for life. If you fail however, you'll still probably be able to go to a team like Tottenham, Sevilla or Everton. If you were to run the same scenario for Spurs, let's say you pick Spurs and you fail you'll probably never be able to get into Madrid during your career but rather end up at a team like Hamburg, Sunderland or West Brom. It's about taking a gamble on yourself, really.

Of course, but Vidal and Schweinsteiger are two of my favourite players in football, it's nothing to do with them strengthening them, it's to do with them being Arsenal and Utd.

Feel the same way about Ozil, Sanchez and Sergio Ramos

Got to remember that just because Schneiderlin is Arsenal/United's second or third or fourth choice signing, if they were to buy him he would still be their first choice selection; once you're in the starting XI of such great clubs I'm not sure you mind whether you were the first choice signing or not.

I don't know... There are plenty of players that failed at big clubs that never got a chance anywhere else after that. Chygrynskiy at Barcelona stands out for me, signed for €25m and returned to Shaktar the next season for half. His contract was terminated by mutual consent last season in the middle of the season.
