Well we dont rate too high! Still behing Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and even Newcastle. What do we have to do to be considered a decent side to watch?

Glad I don't have to tolerate MOTD any more. Every single viewer simply wants them to show as much as possible of every game in the time allotted, yet they persist in supplying extended "analysis" that is banal, at best. I'm guessing that they showed all the televised games first, as well? Bullshit. Do they still show the little "coming up" links? We know exactly what's coming up, you unspeakable twats.

I'd like to see someone list every team's position in the running order across a whole season.

We've been down the pecking order recently, but I'm sure it will all even out over the course of the season.

Haven't we got a ridiculous amount of televised games coming up anyway?

Wigan away is always on their priority list!

Its not that its wigan, its just that its always first up Man Utd (whoever they're playing) then its City/Chel$ki, then Arsenal, then Liverpool, Then us. God knows what it must be like being a Blackburn fan. Im surprised they ever see anything except the goals scored against them.

It pissed me off last week as Spurs v Liverpool is a big game in terms of the number of fans and the size of the clubs, not to mention we were the first game of the day. I know we were on third and United v Chelsea was the biggest game of the day were first that's almost fair enough, but why the fuck was Fulham v Man City on before us? Oh wait i forgot they just spent 800 trillion quid on players so that's why.

Do the richest clubs pay off the BBC or something?

Or the media in general? Pissed me off when SSN started having a City shirt wearing kid in the back of a car in one of their ads. Looooong before they had done anything to deserve regular promoting.

I was livid when I downloaded the demo of FIFA 12, and saw that City were one of the small number of teams that you could select.

Stupid boring nothing club. Note to fucktards...you look like complete fucktards when you do your fucktardy back-to-the-pitch dumb bouncing shite. Trying to desperately create some character for your soulless former football club. Fucktards. And the Gallagher brothers can fuck off as well. Wonderwall? Wonderwank more like.

I couldn't believe it....totally expected us to be up next after United/Chelsea.

Makes you wonder had Liverpool won, would we of been on second.....

Its a vicous circle as far as we are concerned. The 'biggest clubs' get the most exposure, both through MOTD and the newspapers. Which in turn leads them to gain a larger fan base, which makes them a bigger club, which gets them more exposure, which gets them more fans, ad nauseum.

Unfortunately we missed a trick when them Prem started. Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal went abroad and sold their clubs, and now they are reaping the reward through shirt sales etc. Chelsea and City just bought it, but they are now the darlings of the combined media. Weve done bloody well to hang on to their coat tails.

I was actually genuinely livid when City came on second. I'd just finished work so i was a bit wired, but it truely does take the piss. Unfortunately though i think marmite is spot on.

people still watch MOTD to get their spurs highlights?

I watch it to see highlights of other games... i watch spurs highlights on Sky's Football Girst. Far longer, and better. .

Since when was MOTD running order in terms of how good the match was? If anything it makes sense to stagger the good games so people have to watch the whole thing.

Some of us don't have SKY, me included. I do watch the highlights on MOTD and enjoy it as it's a chance to see how other teams look as well as seeing our goals again.

Some fairly positive things were said last night about Spurs and overall opinions were balanced, apart from it being said that is was "nice" seeing Wenger looking happier - but then I'm biased and like seeing him looking miserable!

As for a pecking order, once we get into the top four no doubt that will change.

The problem with MotD is that its designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

People probably think the schedule follows whoever has the biggest fans, as that equals the biggest TV audience, but the 'pundits' are so short on analysis that they will pick the games that have received the biggest coverage in the media, just so they can roll out some clichés and get away with not knowing anything beyond goals=good.

The thing that really, really pisses me off about MotD is when they show the highlights from a game, then go to the 'pundits' who then just show the goals again and say 'he played really well, as this clip you have already seen of him scoring a goal surely proves'. I know they cant watch every game but don't insult our intelligence. Show us something different, or give us some insight into the players thinking in that moment.

When bale scored our second in the 2-1 against Chelsea a couple of seasons back Shearer came out with the gem that, when running at the defender, Bale could go left, or right. Wow. Left AND right? That's why Shearer's on a 6 figure contract.

I guess they thought City losing a 2-0 lead made for more excitement than our one-sided dismantling of Liverpool, and for the neutral they're probably right...
