Zayatte got away from our back line and Cudcini came out, who cleared the 2nd ball? Jenas and Modric - more Modric actually
Pass to Ekotto when he could have shot or kept it on the right for the goal? Jenas
That was after he'd spaffed his wad by taking a shot on the half-volley from 30-yards out when he had a man bearing down on him and had options for the pass. At least he learned from his mistakes but I could have killed him when he did that - so immature.

LMAO at how Jenas has not run away with this poll

he was average in the first half, in the 2nd he was absolutely fantastic

look back at my points and I have criticised Jenas so so much on here, but today he was brilliant in the nd half, he won the ball, pushed forward, was great.

Zayatte's header back off the post who gets the 2nd ball away? Jenas
Somene had a shot I think cousin or garcia, who got an absolutely vit block in? Jenas

Deep cross from Corluka missed Jenas' head by an inch

Palacios was really poor in the 1st half, looked uninteresed but was good in the 2nd

we need more of ths from JJ

Also I thought Darren Bent had a great bit of control and turn and shot, and had a good game really, I thought Keane should have come off

I agree Jenas had a pretty good game, according to the Telegraph his pass ration was 93 %. Slightly better than Bents 34%.

Dont underestimate the amount of work Keane did over the whole pitch, if there is anybody we need more of its him.

As far as MOtM goes I think BAE was excellent tonight

BAE was run ragged, pulled out of position and had a generally crappy game!
Its hard to distinguish an outstanding player, but Palacios was up for it, more than most, the best thing on the night was, we got 3 points!

I actually thought BAE had one of his worst games for us tonight. Outmuscled throughout the game. He redeemed himself with the assist though.

So, MOTM... I'd probably go with Palacios for his fighting spirit. Even though it wasn't his greatest game either.

Didn't see him getting out muscled too much, I was more concerned with his aweful positioning, which had hull taken advantage of, he'd have looked complete shit. However they didn't so he is being voted man of the match?! Ludicrous. On the contary, Palacios had all the movement modric and Jenas should have had (although jenas did wll else where), Modric did it well once. I'd give it to Palacios for the movemen he showed after passing the ball, gave another option.

When will spurs play like the old push and run side of the 60's and 70's

Palacios for me, purely for his fight, there was a tackle in the 53 minute where I stood up and cheered (on the couch on my own @ 7am) we were just standing off letting them play, i was getting pissed and so was he, he thought 'fuck this' and got stuck in. Great lad,
oh and how was his volley? poor gardner 'ouch thats gotta hurt'

It's Modric for me. Not that his performance was that consistently good, but more because he really influenced the way spurs played their football tonight. Kept the ball on the ground, passed and made team mates pass in tight situations, flairy with bits of grits about him.

He really seemed to annoy the home fans as well with his placing of the ball a tad outside the corner marker... I have a feeling the Hull players didnt like his over confidence on the ball and that upped the tension, energy and the generally aggressiveness of the whole match. (quite hostile atmosphere tbh. part also cause Lennon and Woodie played well, i guess)

Modric shows the rest of the team the Tottenham Way of football, he is my MOTM.

I'd completely disagree. He certainly had his work cut out, because in the first half in particular he was left completely exposed—and if he was pulled out of position it was because he had to get across to the centre of the pitch to cover gaps. He won most of his challenges and put in his usual high quota of interceptions and blocks. What do you want? Blood?

Oh, and an absolutely peachy cross for Woody's winner.

Glad someone else noticed it because I don't think it is even a close call - Jenas was the best player on the pitch by a good distance!
BAE,Modric,Palacios,Lennon as MOM - what are you watching?

But Penguin still cannot put a cross in. Maybe, despite the weeks of training, he will never be able to cross the ball? Love his runs though.

to be fair though, he has brought probably 6-8 assists (+ his 3 goals).

I do agree with you, that his end product isn't goo enough. But to say that he doesn't know how to cross the ball is bullshit. Go watch his cross for Fraizer against L'pool, his cross for Pav against Newcastle, for King against W'ham, etc.

You completely disagree, but go on to say "he certainly had his work cut out", how much different is that to, being run ragged?
As for being out of position, you do agree with that !
I didn't think he was outstanding last night, as some do.
And i'm not doubting/questioning the quality of the cross, and the finish.
As for the blood, why not? Woody was able to give some...

Woody, and I'll tell you why. We had possession most of the second half and many chances to put it away and Woody was the only one with enough balls to go and get a goal, just like in the CC last year. Thats what this team needs right now - someone who will run till he pukes or bleeds or scores - and Woody did 2 of the 3 tonight.

For me, BAE couldn't be MOTM purely for the double attempted suicide in the first half. We should have been one down after that catastrophe, which was quite unlike him. Otherwise, he was pretty good (and a wickedcool cross for Woody).

Modric's quiet first 35 minutes mean I couldn't go for him either. I don't know if it was Harry telling him to 'just fucking run about a bit/find the ruddy ball' which brought him in from touchline hugging duties, but we were a markedly better side with him floating.

That really leaves a joint award to Palacios and Jenas. I'd not give either of them more than 7/10 but they were the best of an ordinary lot.

BAE kept costing us possession , worst performance I've seen in him up until his sublime cross resulting from a crap pass from Jenas.

A wins a win, MOTM Lennon - he just kept on going despite being surrounded by fellow attackers who were not up for it.

I voted Bent because he done us a favour and left the field.

It is hard to pick a motm but I would say that it is between BAE and Palacios.

I've gone for Palacios, but mainly for the fighting spirit that we so desperately needed away at Hull last night. I actually also have to praise Keane, even though he didn't appear to be having his best game in an attacking sense. In the second half when he (or Harry) realised that BAE was exposed and that a lot of their threat was down that side, he constantly tracked back to help double up with BAE, and for my money that was one of the big reasons why we got 3 points last night.

He did as much as Keane.

I seem to remember it was Bent who chased the ball down and almost skinned a very very quick Tony Gardner - forcing him into giving away a corner for the first goal.

If you're going to bash bent, at least be consistent and bash Keane's poor touch and Pavlyuchenko's non-involvement.

yep Kendall - we've had two games from Keane and much more heat than light

that injury to jd looks worse with each game, I just pray that robbie provides some of the magic he undoutedly posseses soon

to be fair there were glimpses last night but not enough
