Yeah - hopefully he'll take it as a learning experience. Parrott obviously not Mourinho. He was pretty much forced into giving the lad some minutes by all the fucking idiot supporters and pundits

Personally I was waiting for him to get the green light when ready. If Mourinho only did it to prove a point it’s completely irresponsible.
Or that he's just not ready to play top flight senior football. I know he's done well at lower age groups but it's a big step both physically and mentally. Jose is playing some of our academy produced players so it's clear he'll give them a go if he thinks it's right. The fact that Jose is so quick to praise Skipp and Tanganga but is markedly not so for Parrott suggests he may think he has an ego problem
I'm not annoyed at Parrott, he's young and it was a big game, but he absolutely couldn't have telegraphed his pen any more than he did. It was so obvious it was going to the right. Here's the quote:
The penalty is nothing. He is a penalty taker in the under-23s, he scores every one in the unders. ‘He was so confident, he wanted to take one, he wanted to take the responsibility, it’s an experience in his career. ‘The problem is not his experience. The problem is the 30 minutes. ‘Now people can see that he has to work a lot so don’t think that Parrott is the second Harry Kane because he’s just a young kid that needs to work. ‘Let’s forget the penalty because we all miss the penalties, it was not Troy

Sometimes playing these kids too much too early can do more harm than good.
He looked lost yesterday. He needs time and patience and as you say he’s happy trying Tanganga and skipp so if and when he feels he’s ready he’ll give him a chance. What doesn’t help the issue is we are crying out for a striker so fans (and potentially rightly so) feel something is better than nothing. Last night proved to me José is right to be cautious about playing Parrott despite our appetite for him to be the next KaneOr that he's just not ready to play top flight senior football. If Mourinho is so sure Parrott isn't ready, why the fuck did he let him take a penalty? If he'd have scored it I'm sure he'd be saying something different about him today.

I'm quite sure that he knows mate.Maybe Jose needs to look at how shit the team was before having a go at a young player.
