Reality is that they currently sit in a relegation dogfight.

For starters, there's no guarantee that will happen.

Doubt Pep would touch the Chelsea job with a barge pole. Reckon it's pretty much guaranteed that he is off to City. Only two managers I can think they will go for in the summer will be Simonne or maybe Conte. Reckon Ancelotti will go to Bayen to replace Pep & Mourinho will end up at PSG.

Apparently they are paying up the rest of this season only, not the rest of his contract.
