Two down, ten to go. A week ago Tottenham's chances of qualifying for the Champions league were hanging by a thread.

Agree with the article. Moussa can be so frustrating to watch but he remains our most skilful player in the team if he wants to be.

Im hoping he starts against MU.

He's played very well in his last three outings at Three Point Trafford. I think it'll be a somewhat similar game to that at Anfield, so it could be a sort of game that he'll do well in.

He's played better when hes been pushed further up the pitch.
His main issue is releasing the ball quicker.....sort that, and well ....

Got to say though he does have it in him to be a beast in midfield.
He can tackle,he tracks back,he can beat a man,he can pass......
Yet the lack of moving the ball quicker or sideways instead of forward,is holding him back.
Still a player I would like us to keep come the summer and give Poch more time with him.
Sometimes it takes older players longer to change the way they play,to fall in line with the new ideas....than it does with the younger ones.

i remember watching that game he had for fulham against these lot where he absolutely BOSSED the midfield. it was a magnificent performance.

then we signed him and i dont think he's ever had a 90 minutes like that again. shame, because he is awesome to watch when he's at the top of his game.

edit: probably fair to mention the hip injury might have played a part in him losing effectiveness. maybe the reason he's physically never been able to hit that level of performance ever again... :-/

The bottom line with Dembele having been a big fan of his, he doesn't have an effective enough end product, yes he could drop a shoulder and get away but after that move there's a check back and the moves dead...can he improve, i very much doubt it.

We've seen the best of Dembele, midfield wise, we'll be adding Pritchard, Alli, Holtby, Carroll to the squad, that's without buying anyone. It's probably best to move Dembele on.

"The only small crumb of comfort was precedent; the 2009 Carling Cup loss to Manchester United ended up being the springboard for Spurs' only ever Champions League qualification"

That's not true though is it. We qualified for the Champ League in 2010.
A similar error in an otherwise interesting enough article
