GIven that Moussa Dembélé's paternal ancestry (and probably also Mousa Dembélé's) is from Mali, I find the article's reference to his "Christian name" quite breathtaking in its clumsiness. Or at least that's how I'd put it when I'm feeling tactful.

In Islam/Arabic Moses is Mousa (Mūsa).

A couple of people have pointed that out, but I'm not seeing how that invalidates my point. And Moses isn't a Christian name, but that isn't the point either.

In Britain, I get asked all the time what my "Christian name" is and, when I'm feeling sufficiently pointed on the subject, I've been known to say that I don't have one. It's not a common formulation in the USA, where there is no established church.

I didn't say it invalidated your point, it was supposed to back up your point.
