I suppose I could have put this in Spurs Chat as Neil was with us for a couple of seasons and I don't even know if this story is true but it is funny if it is. (It was in the latest Popbitch).
Family troubles are not confined to just the most rich and newsworthy footballers. Neil Ruddock was the after-dinner speaker at a local football club in Essex recently.
From the stage, he spotted a blonde woman standing at the back and insisted she was thrown out. Everyone smiled, and thought it was part of his schtick, but he refused to go on until the woman was removed.
It turned out to be his ex-wife who was after maintenance payments for their two children.
