Seems strange, for somebody who has been out for almost a year and isn't deemed s good enough backup to samba/dann. Yet we have him. I love how even our backups are cripples.

Aren't there a few at Blackburn who were not being played for financial reasons? I think Jason Roberts and at least one other were kicking their heels because an extra appearance would trigger payments to a former club. Perhaps he has been reasonably fit for a while now but wasn't being selected. If he available for Monday then suggestions of being in NZ for career saving treatment a fortnight ago are wide of the mark.

I think all these players have been captain at some point in their careers(obviously not all at Spurs) -
King,Dawson,Huddlestone,Modric,Parker,Adebayor,Kaboul,Sandro,VDV,now Nelsen and possibly Friedel.
Anyone come up with anymore?
