I think this is a decent draw for the US. I'm not convinced the Dutch are all that. Gakpo obviously having a solid tournament, but with Depay still unfit, Bergwijn off the pace, and Vinnie J not exactly lighting it up, they haven't looked too threatening so far. I thought Ecuador outplayed them and Senegal had their chances to beat them as well.

Obviously the US aren't exactly lighting it up in front of goal, but I think our midfield matches up well with theirs. I think Weah and Dest will give Daley Blind a lot of problems down that right hand side. Even if Pulisic is injured, Aaronson or Gio Reyna can come in and fill that gap decently. Defensively we've been really solid too. We've only given up 5 shots on goal across three games and the only goal against was from a pen.

Netherlands supposedly hit with flu bug and Pulisic supposedly playing. If Sargent plays, the US might be able to keep this close.

Hoping CCV gets another start today. I thought he was very solid against Iran.

Football is a 90 minute match, but you can argue USA has been one if the better teams of the tournament in the first 45 of each match. Berhalter has been way too defensive in his substitutions and cedes control of the match. Hoping he will be more progressive today and have a go with things. Dutch are there for the taking.

The opinion of a few of my buds. I do like him as a sub though.

Despite all the trash talking I’d hear if the USA win and England go out, I’m still cheering on the USA and hope they win today. And with that, I leave you with this…

Big moment for Jesus Ferreira. 20 year old striker for FC Dallas who was the young player of the year in MLS.

This one really is a tight one to call. I can see the US winning this you know.

I do like how USA play - all very high tempo and very athletic type approach. Its a young team and needs a bit more quality particularly up front but they do have such high intensity
