New 25-Man Squad

Apologies if there has already been a thread on this. But isn't it today we need to submit our new 25-man squad for the remainder of the PL season?

Just wondering with the recent ins and outs who people thought the new 25 squad would consist of.

I presume if a player has turned 22 since September then he still counts as under-21 for the rest of the season.

Where did you get that from? Cos it's rubbish. Sandro and Bale are eligible all season as U21's as they we're under 21 on the 31st of August.

It was just a guess tbh...and depite his age (U21) Sandro didnt make the CL squad so it was just a guess at the squad for the rest of the season for both competitions. (Didnt have my FIFA rulebook handy at the time!)

and yes it appears all players u21 qualify irrespective of where they played lived before...

No that's a different rule you're thinking about.

We have to name 25 players in the squad, of which a maximum of 17 can be non-home grown.

We can then have as many U21 players as we want in the squad.

The definition of home grown is that they have played 3 years in an English league before their 21st Birthday.

Only concern for me is our defence. Our strike force was my only concern, but now after we've bought no one in, I just have to accept them and pray for them to score... We have Hutton, Corluka, Woodgate and Bongani and Ekotto, Corluka can play CB and maybe Sandro can cover if necessary.

Just hope they all stay fit, if 1 more CB goes injured we're in dire trouble.

For the 25 man squad, I agree with rest of you's as Woodgate must join us and for King maybe put him in next year.
