Now I'm not proud to admit, I've always wanted Man United to win in the league (and champs league come to that, in fact in anything) just to prevent Arsenal or Chelsea triumphing..and as we are not a threat to either's title chances, Manchester United were the only thing in their way!

Fan's of those two london clubs often talk about spurs fans second team (hate the compound noun!) is Man U..

..My question is, what with the way they've comported themselves this summer with ongoings with ronaldo, but mainly Berbatov, has a new found resentment and hatred developed amongst others of you for the most successful team English football has seen in the last 20years?

I for one am sick that Fergie seems to (but worse knows it) be able to do what he wants..i.e. boycotting MoTd interviews..

To be fair, it's mainly the papers spouting the Berbatov tripe. Even if he/they tapped him up, every club across the globe does it.

I also think he is well within his rights not to speak on camera to the BBC.

My opinion on Man Utd hasn't changed. He has always been quite complimentary to Spurs, even buying our best players.

Im finding myself wanting Chelsea to win the league, much as I dislike them also (and no I have not forgot the Arsneson incident)

Obviously Arsenal is a no no, well for me and my family/friend dynamic I cant want them to win.

Liverpool and Man U have pissed me off by unsettling our players and squad in general as a result.

So right now out of the four I would want Chelsea to win the league.

I dont feel it is a good thing for Man U to win 3 in a row anyway.

Regardless of how much that has been said is purely paper talk, Levy's statment regarding Liverpool and Man U suggests to me some foul play has be committed even if it is not proveable.

I actually pretty much hate all of the 'big four', I would love nothing more then for this little cliche to be disbanded. I think its a sad scenerio when everyone knows which teams will contest the title and who will get the CL spots year in year out.

So the more often the other teams beat the teams in the top four the better, the league needs shaking up.

I can't stand any of the top four these days. Liverpool are annoying under jaffa, Chelsea are arrogant under whoever, Arsenal are the goons & Utd are arse biscuits & worse. Although Carlos Tevez is quite cool

Chelsea winning the league is such a hollow victory, it doesn't really count. I dread the arrogance of our fans if it ever happened to us.

Once the F.A. bring in a rule for teams to run within their means, Levy will reign victorious.

As Michael Corleone says "It's not personal it's business, strictly business"

Don't waste your hatred on Man Utd there are others much closer to home.

The truth is that the clubs that seem to have regularly finished in the top four in recent years (bollox to "big four") are not as far from us as they were and that is because we have higher quality players than even six years ago, this means that they will come sniffing round, it is a tacit recognition on their part that we are becoming serious challengers and if they think that then I see no reason why we shouldn't.
Take the positives.

I don't- managers should be obliged to be interviewed by the media. It represents a form of blackmail on Ferguson's part.

Are you calling Ramos a blackmailer?

I think we should have a poll to see who we (realistically) want to win the league in the unlikely scenario that we don't. Actually it really is a horrible choice isn't it? In the past I have always seen Man U as the lesser of the evils and certainly rooted for them in Champs League Final.

While I recognise that yes it's business, for me as a Spurs fan, it is very personal indeed. I feel as though we've been bullied, even though we've done well not to capitulate entirely. And we don't want bullies to win do we?! So, on balance, if there were a vote - I would abstain.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Ar5ena1 and Chelsea are my enemies, Man Utd are their enemy, therefore Man U are my friend.

As a football club, I don't have a massive dislike of Man U - yes they are arrogant, yes they stole Glory Glory, but ultimately they try to play football the way it should be played.

I dislike intensely Alex Ferguson, and that dislike has intensified over the last twelve months.

I appreciate that distinguishing between Man Utd & Ferguson is quite difficult, but that's the only way I can deal with it.

I dislike Man Utd, but i despise Arsenal and Chelsea. That will always be the case. United are a lesser of three evils. I also dislike Liverpool and specifically their fans. In fact, i hate their fans. Other clubs i hate are Newcastle and Everton. the rest i don't mind.

I also dislike Alex Ferguson, but..... If i could invite any 12 people round for dinner, living or dead, he'd be in there! he'd be reeling off anicdotes over cheese and biscuits!

I never used to mind Man U as much as the others but their arrogance just pisses me off. Especially Ferguson, the tosser.

Strangely though Im finding I dislike Liverpool almost as much as Arsenal now. I think its that Benitez is a politician spouting gibberish and that their fans are fucking morons. Most of the stuff I read on Setanta Sport News that Liverpool fans have sent in is just bollocks.

Does it even matter when Chelsea wins things now? They're not a club anymore just a collection of expensively paid superstars. What do they represent? The soulless corporate side of modern football to the nth degree? They aren't a club with continuity or character just an empty money driven-vessel manned (in auto-pilot by the look of Grant's time) by whoever's been given the keys to the cheese factory at that time. They aren't anymore than Abramovic, maybe when he's left they'll become a real club again, until then they are just a billionaire's plaything. They don't get any respect from anyone outside their own.

I'd definitely prefer Chelsea to win the league over Man Utd. United are taking our top players and destabilising us completely in the process. We still don't have a replacement for Carrick (because his game intelligence is very hard to replace), how long will it take to adequately replace Berba (who has at least the same level of wit and understanding - albeit from a different position)?

I've never liked them for years because of the anti-England thing they had going for quite a while (still do for all I know) -

all that 'Argentina' stuff used to drive me ballistic - At its peak with the Beckham hysteria I actually preferrd AFC & CFC to them - now I have a dislike of all 3 - about the same I guess

Funnily enough the 'Argentina' stuff seemed to go right over the heads of the Surrey Mancs many/most of whom in other departments seem to be inveterate flag wavers-

strange that - NOT

but I'm not gonna ratchet up my dislike of them over Berbs - all three main parties involved are playing games - probably necessary games for them - but fan-hurting games (in the short-term at least) for us

Re the MUFC 'anti-England' stance at its peak in the late 90s - I remember during a Spurs v Leeds FA Cup game (99?)- we had the usual 'stand up if you hate Arsenal' dirge, which I've never liked

so i said to girlfriend - 'I ain't standing up - tell you what i'd rather Arsenal win the lge than MU '- this proved to be somewhat of a red rag to the bloke standing in front of me - and a very heated 10 mins debate followed, till girl friend managed to convince me I was missing a classic Cup tie (which I was) whille I kept on arguing

Luckily I didn't miss any of the classic moments of that game, and while the debate simmered on with bloke in front for a while longer, we finally made some kind of truce that we were both Spurs anyway - though he clearly thought 'being Spurs' entailed 'being anti-Arsenal' to the same degree, which I've never gone along with.
