I also dislike Alex Ferguson, but..... If i could invite any 12 people round for dinner, living or dead, he'd be in there! he'd be reeling off anicdotes over cheese and biscuits!
Does it even matter when Chelsea wins things now? They're not a club anymore just a collection of expensively paid superstars. What do they represent? The soulless corporate side of modern football to the nth degree? They aren't a club with continuity or character just an empty money driven-vessel manned (in auto-pilot by the look of Grant's time) by whoever's been given the keys to the cheese factory at that time. They aren't anymore than Abramovic, maybe when he's left they'll become a real club again, until then they are just a billionaire's plaything. They don't get any respect from anyone outside their own.
To be fair, it's mainly the papers spouting the Berbatov tripe. Even if he/they tapped him up, every club across the globe does it.
I also think he is well within his rights not to speak on camera to the BBC.
My opinion on Man Utd hasn't changed. He has always been quite complimentary to Spurs, even buying our best players.
Chelsea winning the league is such a hollow victory, it doesn't really count. I dread the arrogance of our fans if it ever happened to us.
Once the F.A. bring in a rule for teams to run within their means, Levy will reign victorious.
As Michael Corleone says "It's not personal it's business, strictly business"
Don't waste your hatred on Man Utd there are others much closer to home
too true...i think we can all agree that they're the lesser of the evils..not that i particularly hate liverpool..i just think they're not actually all that good!
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Ar5ena1 and Chelsea are my enemies, Man Utd are their enemy, therefore Man U are my friend.
As a football club, I don't have a massive dislike of Man U - yes they are arrogant, yes they stole Glory Glory, but ultimately they try to play football the way it should be played.
Spot on really...if they can win and stop those bastards then they are our friends!!
Bin dippers??
you referring to the scouse that was looking for something to eat..saw a dead rat and thought it a treat!!
I wanted Utd to win the league last year until I saw them at our place (in the 1-1 draw) The attitude of their players was disgraceful, they surrounded the ref (talking 6-7 players at least) on a dozen occasions, complained about every single little incident, like a foul where a player is tripped, but yet they got no yellow card. They complained about our goal, they complained about everything.
I was really disappointted because I would have been happy for them to win the league simply because they were not the scum or the scum. But that match totally changed my attitude.
Then Fergie came out and had a pop at the ref, saying 'You know something is wrong when Manchester United get 7 yellow cards' when they deserved many many more. Arrogants so and so.
new....found???? always hated the bastards! Only gained sum sort of want for them to wi the league cos I hate chavski and the red scum more!
New found? I'm a Yorkshireman, mate... :-D
When the business of Berbatov is done and dusted and we've moved on we'll be glad when Berbatov sticks a few goals into the ar5ena1 net and ensures they stuggle to hold 4th place.
Without Man U, wenger would have won a lot more trophies for ar5ena1. Man U know Berbatov will strength them. Likewise Liverpool knew that Keane would stengthen them.
It's up to Spurs to make the right decisions about who we keep and who we buy to replace them. If Ramos gets it right we can overtake ar5ena1, and if the hype is true then he should be able to get top noth replacements for Keane and Berbatov.
