I dopnt often get a name on the back, but if i do, its often the new players who i get. Its the safer bet, and i think Modric and Giovani are great options. Maybe one on each the home and away shirt. The only other player would be King. Always have faith in him. He is our captain afterall.

I got a signed Keane 125th anniversary shirt bought for my birthday. I still haven't got round to framing it. Its probably going to be a while before i do now. I hated when Sheringham left for Man Utd, but over time i was able to forget. I think time will heal the wound of Keane leaving, and we can be proud to have his name on our shirts hanging up on the wall, to remind us of the good days of Keane.

The only name I haven't ended up regretting getting was King. But it was on the 04/05 home shirt, so the fucking numbers almost peeled off.

i never get names on the back of my tops, but if i did i would wait untill the transfer window is closed, Most footballers these days dont care about being loyal to a club and will run to the next club for more money or if they thought they were bigger in seconds now.

i always get king too..he's the only player who would never leave the club

My God That is naive!! Sorry but ALL players would leave for more money...sad fact is we are not allowed heroes any more because they stab us in the back.

Only way I'd have a player is if it was a past legend, something like Hoddle 10, Gascoigne 8 or Nicholson 61.

i bought the players version of the home top - £60 it cost - got Keane 10 on the back with the prem badges on the sleeves - £20 for that, so £80 down the drain and i have only got wearing the shirt once.

got mine pre-printed from sports soccer so no chance of them changing it-only good thing is that they did such a shoddy job with the printing that i can probably peel the name off the back without too much damage!

Never get a players name on the back of my shirt. They don't care enough about the club for me put there name on the back.

Exactly, I always get my surname on the back of my shirts and my son gets his first name on his :)

Anyone else had the new away shirt/strip delivered with Keane on the back? Bought my 5yr old the strip with Keane on,arrived just hours before its announced he wants to go!! Its currently hung up still in the wrapper,he doesnt want to wear it and i wouldnt let him anyway! £30 that cold have been better spent.:bang:

Post it to Benitez and demand he refund you for it...

I've been thinking about this, as I bought the new home shirt with Keane on it too. I'm hoping they'll let me swap it as I seem to recall something similar happening before.

In future, I think I'll probably get a number but no name. As cool as the legend idea is I'm not sure it would work for me, having Gascoigne 8 or Hoddle 10 on a modern shirt, I'd rather have a retro one. Which I guess is the obvious alternative.
