I heard on Saturday via somebody who spoke to the head of Nike UK at the England Belgium game that its us being difficult with Nike wanting a few things changed on the kit and thats the delay. Im sceptical as I thought they were all a template and so couldn't be changed but I thought it worth passing on.

I think there's quite a few different kits this year, enough to be picky.

Edit: I'll post this on COYS as theres someone on there who gets good Nike ITK so might be able to corroborate or not.

Well they are all template kits but some teams like us, PSG, Atletico and Roma to name a few have unique designs too on those shirts also. I'd be sceptical just because you don't normally hear of shirts being changed at such a stage due to the disapproval of the club.

Just now there have been 'official' pictures of the away shirt posted:

The first official pictures of the Nike Tottenham Hotspur 18-19 away kit have leaked. In the club's second season with Nike, the Tottenham 2018-2019 jerseys are set to to be launched in the coming weeks.

Just like in the Nike debut season, the Tottenham 18-19 away jersey is navy, with white being used for the Swoosh on the right chest. While some might be disappointed at the lack of variation from Nike, it's safe to say that dark blue is easily Spurs' most iconic away color.

Despite sharing the base color, the Tottenham 2018-2019 away kit looks nothing like its predecessor. This is thanks to the fact that the Nike Tottenham Hotspur 2018-2019 away shirt prominently features turquoise / teal in the form of a bold graphic on the sleeves.

Finally, the shield around the club crest found on this season's Spurs uniforms is gone in 2018-19. Template-wise, the Tottenham 2018-19 away jersey is of course based on the latest iteration of Nike's infamous Vapor template.

Navy shorts and socks are expected to complete the Tottenham 18-19 away kit.

as it sounds the shield has been removed, we have only ever won the main league twice, both times included the shield.

if my son wasn't buying me a belated birthday present, I'd not buy 1 this season, but will go for the away kit. I'm looking forwards to the day AIA finish, and hopefully have a non red sponsor so I can buy the home kit again 1 day. I have bought them with it on, but this one is too big in my eyes

Yeah, side to side patterns in the same colour as the shirt
Can't see it on the latest one.

To be honest i just think some pictures don't show them up as well as others as on most of the shirts they appear quite faint. If you look at these they either don't look like they're there or they're really hard to see. Probably just need a higher resolution shot of the Spurs one to capture the lines.

I say it again. I know it is all opinions. You just can never please people.

Whilst you're sort of correct would you not also agree that by all means go funky batshit with the 3rd, the away and training kit if you must but don't do radical bonkers shit on the main body of the home shirt especially if it's a club that predominantly has a plain shirt.

Sleeves, neck, shoulders fair game, even sponsors by and large (as long as it's not a dictatorship or something like that)

I still don't like the rumoured home shirt. I just don't get why someone thought that odd fade was necessary or a good idea.

Not that I speak for the majority, but I personally won't be handing over any cash for it.

Hopefully getting rid of the bits that look like my child has splashed paint over them

It's in Nike's best interest to release something people want.
If the rumours are true and the fade is only on the front it's even worse.
