You guys are talking like we're currently a fan owned club or our owner is a lovable local businessman who grew up selling pies outside WHL in 1962. We're already a part of a portfolio, doesn't make it a bad thing, it's just what football and business is.

Unless it really bothers you that we'll lose our historic connection to our roots in the Bahamas?

In other news, it look like the first bit of terracing (or at least the supports for it) are going in on the north stand. In the bottom right corner.

I'm sorry but I'm finding some of the concerns about an Arab corporation taking over the club as borderline racist.

Qatar is not a despotic regime like Iran, Syria or Saudi Arabia. Our own British Royal family and government have no qualms dealing with the Qataris.

Chelsea divided up the pitch into tiny squares and sold them to supporters to try and prevent it being sold - don't know what's happened since then (if I remember right it was the late 80s early 90s) around the time of mike Harding/ken master bates

Don't get me wrong, their human rights record is not perfect but its a lot better than a lot of these countries laws are backward compared to the West.

Let's not forget that segregation was allowed in many US states until 50 years ago. Committing homosexual acts was also a crime in the U.K. 50 years ago.
And slavery was abolished in 150+ years ago in the states. Still being practiced in Qatar though. Aint that right, FIFA.

There's Barcelona for one. Basically there's two main Qatari wings who operate huge portfolios. The Qatari royal family and the Qatari presidential family, and they complete on a global level to show off their dicks to each other and the world. Both of them own vast chunks of Mayfair, one of them owns the Uk stock exchange and the other owns the Shard and most of Barclays Bank. Its that kind of level we are talking about. The country dosnt allow foreigners without being assigned a local to represent them, and for example if you crash your car that person will do the time/fines/face sanctions. The country has huge reserves of natural gas and some oil, all discovered recently and there's not that much to last more than 30 years so they are spending their wealth wisely.

I'm not sure which side runs the airline. But the upcoming World Cup death toll estimate is up over 4000, shocking working conditions and slavery of imported Indian builders.

Without assurances one could definitely say fuck Qatar, whichever side is bidding for our club. You'd have to ignore an awful lot and only focus on the vast fortune they are spunking to consider this a safe deal.
According to Wiki, the Gov't owns the airline not the royal family

Had an email from the club saying West stand fans have a new access to the ground. Should be interesting.

NEW WEST STAND ACCESS ROUTE

Supporters attending Saturday's game at the Lane will get the chance to walk directly across the new stadium site for the first time following a change to our West Stand fan access point.

This new fan matchday access path, situated north of the existing Gate A walkway in the West Stand, offers access across the north stand from the High Road to Worcester Avenue and crosses over the construction site meaning fans will be able walk directly underneath the new stadium via a tunnel.

Our updated interactive map shows the Club’s advised access routes based on each seating block around the stadium and takes into consideration the direction you approach White Hart Lane from, with mobility access also highlighted.

I'm ethnically Middle-Eastern. My dislike of Qatar is nothing to do with race.

And international diplomacy is something completely different to supporting a team funded by blood money.

Would you stop supporting the club if:

a) They sponsored our stadium.

b) They fully owned the club.
