Good news from the safe standing debate today - Tracey Crouch has officially commissioned a review, and what we didn't know before is that it'll report back by the end of the year - potentially paving the way for a trial or limited approval for the 19/20 season.

My bad, edited it for clarity. But the Government will be getting a report, likely to officially recommend safe standing being legal (making it very like they'll at least give it a trial), within the next six months.

I'm sure someone has probably already spoken on this, but are the slits between the cartridges going to be filled/covered with something? Or will there be some leakage when it rains?
I have no idea to be honest mate. I'd think they'd have something but not sure what!
To maybe help those who don't understand, below are three sections of the three details at the important junctions where the red line is the single ply membrane and the blue is metal cladding or other associated metalwork.

The first drawing is a section at the curved eaves, where the curved eaves sits to above and to the left of that shown, and the metal cladding comes down from the top of it to meet the cassettes.

The second image below is a section through the junction between two rows of cassettes, again, red is the single ply membrane and blue represents a metal capping bridging the cap on the inverted 'L' sections that you can see installed on the webcams

Lastly, the below shows a junction between the end of the row of cassettes and the glass panels on the inner edge of the roof.

A few pages back there were photos of the plans. There will be a membrane going over the cassettes, and think the gaps between the cassettes will be filled in.
The membrane is already on the cassettes. The joints will be hot air welded, or a cover strip across them I should think.

There is a gap between the cassettes and the slightly raised sheets (?) on the inside. Any idea what happens to those gaps?

I kind of wish they’d been a bit more adventurous with say colouring top of roof just looks a bit bland in the aerials. I know it’s only aerials and not really important. But they could have done cassettes in different shades like the veil make it a bit more exciting.

In the documents and physical mockups for stadium sponsorship the club had a “your logo here” placeholder on the stadium roof. I think a few companies were sent pictures and a mock-up of the stadium with their logo (Uber springs to mind?)

A well designed sponsor logo (not Uber) would help it look more interesting.

Single ply membranes pretty much come in grey, dark grey, light grey and MAYBE black or white depending on supplier. We looked at other coloured felts but they were cost prohibitive.

This - it's essentially a nice big space for an advert, which will be visible on the overheads before and after televised games so will look spectacular but will have zero impact on the fans really.

I'm guessing these commercials will be in the process of being finalised soon as well now?

Edmonton, an hour ago on COYS:
Think it has been mentioned on here for at least a year some facilities won’t be ready on day one.

I’m not aware of any plans or need to reduce capacity unless something comes up in test events like toilets don’t work.
