It was impossible to confirm timescales at this stage but the working date for the new stadium opening was August 2018
The working date for moving out of White Hart Lane was mentioned as May 2017, so two more seasons in the current stadium
Hence the provisional date for a ground share would be 2017-18
This seems new.
Has this been stated before?

Ground share now between Dons and Wembley. One good option and one shit option. Im positive the shit option will be the choice as its cheaper.

Always gunna be MK Dons imo, it's a more viable option than Wembley and I don't see why it's a bad thing that the club would want to save money the season before it's moving into a £400m stadium

I think these hint that the board have a preferred option:

- THST stressed the need for full fan consultation before any decision is made as to venues, to which THFC agreed. However, THFC was mindful there may only be one option at the end of the day
- THFC confirmed that when an option was confirmed they would look to produce an attractive package re travel and ticketing
- Regarding the ground share season, THFC confirmed they would offer an amnesty to Season Ticket holders not wishing to travel to the temporary home
- THST suggested picking up with the Ticketing team at THFC at a separate meeting to discuss the impact an amnesty would have on the current Loyalty Point system (to be arranged under separate cover)

I don't think that we'd be looking to arrange travel packages if we're only a couple of miles from Wembley as it is.

I understand that the club have to show they're considering all packages but to me it looks like they're leaning one way and always have. It's one season away from home for about 9 months to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of the club for the future, people need to get over it.

Well, the Wembley option may not be possible, as hinted in the minutes, because of the limits to the number of events that can be held. Also, why are you complaining about taking the cheaper option, when we need to actually pay for the stadium.

If Wembley isn't going to be viable, and the club are hinting this may very well be the case, then MK is the closest stadium to North London with a capacity of 30,000+ (because West Ham/Arsenal/Chelsea aren't going to help us out). If we have to move out for one year to get the stadium built then I don't see a massive amount of choice and people need to accept it.

There are only limits on using the whole 3 tiered seating. We could use the 2 tiered seating.

I dont want to play at stadiumMK as its franchise football and represent all that's wrong with football.

I agree. I really don't care that much, as it's only for a season. The club, I'm sure will subsidize travel to the MK (if that's where we end up). And if we can play a few games at Wembley against Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Then it's a good solution.

Stadium Mk looks very accessible by roadway, and appears to offer plenty of parking. Politics aside, it looks to be a logical option.

It's far more complex than 'We could use the 2 tiered seating'. Wembley has never held weekly/biweekly matches, so there would have to be new police arrangements, studies to see if it was viable- including consultation with the locals etc.

Completely. Extremely accessible, I'm fairly sure there's straight trains from either Paddington or St Pancras from central London. And considering I'd be willing to bet the majority of our fans are from the home counties, Enfield and the likes. It's either just a few junctions on the M25 and/or straight up the M1.

The club have said they'd be looking to arrange packages so I'm sure they'd either be low cost or maybe free coaches to MK and back to Tottenham and surrounding areas so I don't believe there's a major issue travel-wise

There is parking, but getting in and out of the place is a bit of a pain actually, and that's for MK Dons games where its like a third full. Heaven knows what it would be like at a Spurs game to be honest if people chose to drive!

However it is the closest realistic stadium that holds 30k+. After that you are looking at the other two mentioned before... Ipswich and Brighton, one miles away in East Anglia, the other on the south coast. There really aren't too many stadia that provide what we would need.

Euston to Bletchley and then a 10 min walk to ground is the easiest way to get from London.

Parking isn't that good prob about 300 spaces by the ground but outside that not much as the local shops etc have parking wardens!!

Also the roads can get a bit nightmareish but the A5 runs right past the stadium which is a bonus

If it's going to be MK then I'm glad there is going to be an amnesty for season ticket holders because I for one won't be going. Sad really. I understand the need to move its just a pity it's going to be to there.

Arsenal were allowed to play their home games at White Hart Lane during WW2 so it's about time they repaid their debt to us and let us play our home games there.

I honestly think the Arsenal is the best option and you are right, there was a time when it would have been a no brainer obvious solution which both parties would be happy with, sadly football don't work that way anymore although I'm willing to bet if Everton have to vacate their ground for a season Liverpool will offer them the use of Anfield and vice versa.

Video here on how the New Yourk Giants and Jets share the Metlife stadium - and change all the colours, signage etc for each game.

I'm sure something similar could be arranged, even down to changing seat colours for every game, if the will was there

I think its the first time that 'working dates' have been given by the club. Before its been the club sayi9ng it'll take 3 years to build the stadium from when we start....and fans have made guesses.

Now there is a deal in place to take over the Archway land, we now have a real start date and that's the reason why the club has more clarity

Its not just about price or convenience of travel. Its a League One stadium, we should play somewhere better (Wembley) and for those of us who live in North London, it will turn every game into an all day outing. As much as i want to see Spurs i have family and other commitments, so while an afternoon is ok and everyone is used to that, a whole day at the weekend doesnt work.
