This planning applicaion includes the proposal to demolish the listed buildings, so the answer is "no". There also has to be a parallel application for listed building consent [to demolish].

As I wrote many pages ago, I think that issue is likely to cause delay and perhaps a further redesign, as I expect this aspect of the application to be highly controversial.
Worth noting that this is the redesign, before the club submitted in the planning application they were coordinating with the various groups and the original application they wanted to hand in, had no buildings.

The planning application submitted seems to suggest that the best building and most historic has been integrated with the tottenham experience. The argument made about the other buildings were that they were in a fit enough state to potential survive being integrated to the tottenham experience

Aren't those buildings 'only' locally listed, and not 'nationally' listed, and doesn't that make a difference as to who has the final say over de-listing and/or demolishing. Just asking the question here, maps I've read all sorts over the years.

I agree @Phischy - the lack of 'Tottenhamising' is a worry. It looks like a very nice stadium that could belong to anyone.

Maybe we can ask some local lads to smash in a few of the windows once it's built?

But seriously this stadium and the whole NLD project we are doing is for the future of Tottenham - so we are shaping how Tottenham will look for years to come - so in fact the 'Tottenhamising' is there - it's just future 'Tottenhamising'.

The club claim they have been working with Historic England in regards to the scheme and the kept Warmington house is Nationally listed and you're right that the 3 buildings removed are locally listed

I think the fact that the club has made the demolition of these old buildings a health and safety matter puts the odds well in our favour,

At the pre-planning meeting (which I watched on Hasrringey's video) Spurs were told that Harringey needed to see that 'every possibility had been followed up to allow the buildings to be kept, including for example removing brick by brick to a different location' (my words, but hope I've kept the sense), which Spurs said to the removing to a different site that EH were not in favour to that possibility.

So I imagine Spurs will have a lot of paperwork covering this issue, and hopefully will have 'socialised' all the possibilities to Harringey officials so that all the ideas have been meticulously documented prior to submission.

Whether that will be enough for some so as not to cause a delay to the process is another question.

Agree with this. In my eyes, Haringey want to be able to say that every avenue has been exhausted and although its a shame, this is the optimum plan and what's best for the area.

Job done. Everyone's happy.
Full steam ahead.

A building is just a building. Fuck it. If something can improve the lives of the many no building should stand in its way.
People are mad. Councils are mad.

Yep, they have no problem moving people out of their homes but pull a strop at knocking down a rotten building. This is not petra or stonehenge ffs.

First bit of Archway action today apparently, seems like they are starting to strip the roof off :)

Looking at the current feed for Camera 2 it looks like the roof has been put back on o_O

I believe that is just the roof underlayment (tar paper, flashing, etc.) I imagine they were performing remediation of the asbestos cement tiles. The rest can be demolished with the entire building as it is not a hazardous/toxic material. IMO

Osbourne meeting with the nfl today to discuss a london franchise (sorry can't link).

Still think it's a pipedream @yankspurs ?
Ohhh it very much is. Gooddell and london might want it, but the NFL has a few cities to take care of in the US first and also Gooddell's influence is really diminishing with the owners. Wouldnt shock me if they fire him soon. He's killed his stock lately and got his biggest supporter to turn against him. Plus the NFLPA will never let a London franchise happen and for very good reason too. Plus the fans here in the US would HATE it. If Gooddell somehow aurvives the heat he has now, he'd NEVER survive that. Once the fans here even catch a whiff of the nfl getting a full time team over there, it curtains for Gooddell. Their is already a ton of anger by fans because they lose a home game thanks to Gooddell's infatuation with games on foreign soil.

It's not about foreign soil though. It's about a potential 700m new customers from the richest trading block in the world.
I know americans think they are the be all and end all but there is a whole world out there.

Its not about there being a world out there at all. Stop being naïve.
