Even if it is awful there is too much positivity about it in their fan-base to admit it right away. Might take a season for the full realisation of what they have to sink in.

Their fans are going to be much louder than normal for a while there. Won't be until the honeymoon period is over we see how it really is.
Well when most of their fans realize they cant see a thing at the stadium in their first game, the honeymoon will be over rather quick.

Even ignoring atmosphere and acoustics (which due to the giant roof will be slightly better than most believe I feel). I think the real killer will be the open concorses. Yes there sheltered from the rain. But nothing from the wind and cold etc. It'll always feel temporary, and not offer the same respite from the cold that even a basic WHL can offer.

You underestimate the power of positivity. It will start out at "This isn't so bad! I was really worried I wouldn't be able to see a thing!" and evolve to every fan in the upper tiers desperately trying to get tickets nearer the pitch.

Does this help phischy. 190m from back of South stand to far corner flag. Much less from other stands it would seem. The Diamond shape looks to be equal shape and size to the spammers.

Spurs are on their way to Wembley, connected by EE, next season
The Football Association and Tottenham Hotspur FC today confirm an agreement has been reached for the Premier League club to host its European fixtures at Wembley for the 2016-17 season with an option to hire the stadium for the entire 2017-18 campaign.

FA Chief Executive Martin Glenn said: "Having Tottenham at Wembley for big European nights next season is a welcome opportunity for us to further the stadium’s position as a world-class venue. As well as helping the club and its fans, it will benefit London and English football in general with our commitment to reinvesting all profits back into the game.

"The increased revenue will particularly help us meet our targets for improving coaching and grassroots facilities and growing participation. We were already on a strong financial footing, which allowed us to reinvest £117m back into the game at all levels last season."

Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy said: "We are delighted that, through working in partnership with WNSL and The Football Association, we have been able to reach this agreement. Given the current reduction in capacity at White Hart Lane for next season and the ticketing requirements for Champions League, playing at Wembley will mean that we can continue to accommodate all of our existing Season Ticket holders.

"Our season ticket waiting list is over 50,000 so this now also offers us a great opportunity to provide more of our supporters with a chance to see the team play live during our Champions League campaign.

"Importantly, as we know it was our fans' preference, it means that we can continue to play our home matches in London during our season away."

Because while we will have a reduced capacity at WHL for both league and cup games next season, UEFA are incredibly fussy when it comes to the quality of club stadiums. You only have to look at the 2-3 rows that get blocked off in the front rows of Europa League games for media use to see how the requirement of CL would affect the capacity further. Lots of little things like that would just make the capacity unusable, especially considering how many will want to go.

I also wonder how happy UEFA will be rocking up to a stadium that doesn't even have a car park anymore, as outside of the west stand has been completely ripped up. It'll be interesting to see what we do in the league about it. But numerous facilities will now be missing, basic stuff (including a corner of the stadium) that I just don't think UEFA would allow.

Words can't tell you how happy I am that we've reached a deal to play at Wembley. I genuinely thought we'd sell our soul to the devil and spend a season playing at MK Scums, and if we had done that then I would have sacked off Spurs and football for a season because I couldn't have condoned my team being associated with the franchise football scum. Absolutely delighted that we haven't gone down that route and I will be able to watch the growth of our exciting young side in 2017/18.

Am I alone in thinking that Spurs still believe they can get a large part of the stadium ready for 2017/18 season. Surely it would be fixed not an option?

On the playing side as well I don't think it does any harm letting players settle into new surroundings in a competition with lower expectation.

" we shall be required to vacate White Hart Lane to complete the latter stages of our new stadium and surrounding environs, the agreement additionally provides an option to play all our Premier League and cup home games at Wembley Stadium for the 2017/18 season. It is our intention to open the new stadium for the 2018/19 season. This timetable is, however, also dependent on infrastructure, transport and associated commitments being delivered by TfL and Haringey Council."

Great news. Playing regularly at Wembley will make the transition to the new stadium so much easier, as well.

What I think is interesting and has gone a little bit unnoticed is that we have an 'option' to play at Wembley for the full 17/18 stadium. It isn't a done deal yet and we may still choose to go to MK, as unlikely as it now seems.

My guess is the option part of it in the meantime fully understand what the best option is, the CL part of it for next season will be a taster to see if the fans are completely happy with it and if so we will pursue Wembley as our season away. That is just my onion of course.

Yes I noticed that, but then levy talks about us playing our games at Wembely next season as a definite. I imagine the word option is for whatever reason a chance to back out.
