Board meeting is on the 28th, rumours gathering force that they will not make a decison this month. Even if they do, have read they will continue discussions with the losing party in case the other one pulls out.

So, in other words, they still dont know what they`re doing.

All join in,
You dont know what youre doing
You dont know what youre doing
You dont know what youre doing

The fact they are called the "Legacy co." hopefully means they will choose wet spam.

How on earth can a Legacy co. vote in favour of a club that will knock down the stadium and rip up the running track? hence leaving a fuck all olympic Legacy.

Thats abit like the KLU klax klan voting Obahma for president.

will their votes become public? If it is then we have no chance as no member of the board will publicly favour us but if its secret voting then its a different ball game

I could mean anything, but i suspect they want more time to see if West Ham will be relegated or not. To see whether Jeremy Hunt will advance Newham the money for their loan to West Ham and maybe just to take the whole heat out of the debate.

The athletics community have managed to dominate the media coverage over the last couple of weeks as it's built towards this deadline. The media will soon get bored of the same people saying the same stuff and so if they put it back a few weeks the chances are their won't be the negative press coverage in the run up to the actual decision.

In the meantime, it means we can all relax and get back to getting het up by the latest transfer rumours instead!

OMG did:eek:mg: not know that. if that is the case then it will be a purely business decison

Do you think Levy would have spent the time and money putting together a bid if it wasn't going to be an economic decision? He would have always known that by having no track we would not be winning the battle for hearts and minds.

Ultimately though, with the ConDem-nation's priority being to reduce the national deficit, every penny counts, and if our bid is more profitable, and low risk for the government then that is probably where they will go.

Something stinks about the delay in the announcement though. Me thinks there is some serious horse trading going on in the corridors of power.:hump:

Not totally surprising. This is a huge decision involving millions of pounds and affecting several interested parties for years to come.

A week just doesn't seem long enough to make a decision of such magnitude, plus of course we've had Crystal Palace entering the fray that would certainly affect, one way or another, our bid.

Or perhaps they're just waiting to see if West Ham stay up or not, 6 months ago the must have thought it was a gimme.

I could without several more weeks worth of speculation, however.

Interesting article on the beeb giving 'Londoners their say' here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adrianwarner/2011/01/time_for_londoners_to_be_heard.html

Also contains this very interesting snippet about Wembley.... 'A "platform system" has been designed to convert the stadium for athletics use, but its use would decrease the stadium's capacity to approximately 60,000. No athletics events have taken place at the stadium, and none are scheduled'.

Personally, for all i care about our "Olympic Legacy", we could just turn it into the London equivalent of Hampden Park, a place only known as the national stadium of the Scottish national team, yet clearly ignore the fact that it is the home ground of Queens Park FC, a team which play in the fourth tier of the Scottish league.

So, by the time the 'lympics is over, it'll be a pretty easy comparison to draw with West Ham

Nah. Getting relegated could happen next season. They will be looking long term. And probably coming to the conclusion that it is in the realms of possibility that they will be struggling with their Prem status in the years to come beyond the completion of the stadium.
