I think the discussions regarding wembley would only amount to anything should we be lucky enough to be playing Champions League football. I think that Stadium MK is a done deal and to be honest, that sacrifice is minimal when we see the new stadium we will get for our club.
Stadium MK for league and cup
Wembley Stadium for Champions League (like Arsenal back in 1998)
A whole season at Wembley wouldn't be allowed for local resident agreements. The most we could hope for is about 4 games Manu, Arse, Chelsea, Liverpool... oh and that years FA cup semi-final and final.
My concern with moving away from London is more about the damage to heritage. We'll face plenty of abuse from our London rivals during and after it. Similar to what we give to arsenal for woolwich etc. if we have no choice then fair enough but I would sooner play at palace than MK. Palace have shared their stadium on plenty of occasions, why not them as an example?
You are only allowed one home league ground a season under EPL rules.
It's either MK or Wembley, and yes - local by-laws prevent Wembley being used for more than a certain number of events a year (the cap is 20 or something).
2017-18 we will be playing at MK
Am I the only one who is concerned that we will play CL at Stadium MK. That would be embarrassing to an extent. Although, there's a great incentive for the players next season- get CL football and play against the best teams in the world at WHL for the last time/season.
That's not the point I'm making- it would just be horrible to see us play against Europe's best at a stadium that is not ours.MK stadium will only be 5.5k smaller than WHL by the time we are using it (it is being upgraded for this autumn's rugby WC)
Londoners are so insular, it's really funny.
If it's not on the tube line its Outer Mongolia.
Brighton had to play in bliming Gillingham remember as part of the sacrifice to get their new stadium
Also I remember Paul Barber talking about our season at Milton Keynes about 7 years ago, so it's not like it's a big surprise

Rules can be changed. isn't there one about moving near a League club ala Spammers on Orient territory?

For some of us it's just the principle of Milton Keynes. How would we feel if it was Tottenham they'd destroyed instead of Wimbledon and now another big club were going to come in and pay them a wad of cash to use their stadium when there appear to be other options?Oh my god, only spurs fans could moan about the "inconvenience" of having to play games away from WHL for a year while a new world class stadium is built. Its taken years of planning, fighting in courtrooms and cost untold amounts of money but we are finally within touching distance yet some people are still moaning. Jesus wept get a grip FFS, if it means getting the new stadium built id take a travelling roadshow across America and Asia for a year. Its Milton Keynes not bloody Manchester!!
