This is the thing. Even if Liverpool win, we've gained on Arse and Chelsea. Hopefully we can drag one of them into the race for fourth.
With Arsenal's fixtures coming up they could be reeled back in. They usually have a mini collapse at this stage of the season too.

Great performance tonight, Bentaleb outstanding, we look better in defence with Kaboul instead of Daws, Adebayor just brilliant and another 2 goals to boot. At least our goal difference looks a bit better now.

Freeing up Bentaleb again by playing Capoue and moving Dembele out to the right let him really cut loose, back to the kind of performance that he was producing when first introduced. My only negatives are that Ade is starting to look a bit fatigued and we really need Soldado to find his confidence again to shore up the position, and that it looked like Dembele's hip had played up. Neither are insurmountable though, especially if Chadli keeps coming on and doing that!

Great result and some very encouraging signs tonight, both from individuals and as a team. Much better balance. After giving some stick in previous weeks, I was really pleased to see us make a conscious effort to close down, harass the man with the ball, and win it back on numerous occasions.

Let this be the starting point and how we mean to go on. Well done tonight guys (y)

Man City's postponed game will be first up then, followed by the snooze-fest of Man Utd vs Arse

Nah, BBC are jizzing over Liverpool holding on against Fulham so they'll be first.

Then the rest in this order : ManU/Arse. City/Sunderland (POSTPONED), Everton/Palace (POSTPONED), Stoke/Swansea. Doubt we'll even be on tbh. They'll claim they didn't set the VCR.

That was a very important win for many reasons:

1. Tim has learned that he can continue being flexible with the shape and it will bear fruit.

2. Capoue is a very good DM and even thinking about selling him was embarrassing

2.1 Out-and-out DM's rock!!

3. Kaboul and Verts must start if both fit.

4. GIVE OUR NEW BOYS A CHANCE AND THEY MIGHT JUST LET YOU GET TO 'KNOW' THEM!

Still needs to learn that lennon is a waster, but hopefully chadli has woken him up a bit on that tonight.

Got a lot right tonight, tim. (y)

P.S. kaboul is a beast and hugo is a god.

Nice one. You need to stay away from the negative crowd that were in full force pre kick-off. They've mostly crawled back under their rocks, cursing the performance as fortunate and inspite of Tims team selection, waiting for their next opportunity to strike.
I came on just before the game and negative comments were crazy, before the ball was even kicked!

I think TS is smarter than a lot of us think. Who knows, we may have uncovered a gem!

A nice little break now to nurse injuries and give players like Ade, Dembele and Paulinho a chance to recharge batteries.

Big games coming up now but it's starting to look positive again.

great result. Hard to call MOM.

lloris with some world class saves to preserve our lead and give us the platform.

But i think Bentaleb's contribution just sneeks it. Involved in 3 of the 4 goals, and really performed well without the shackles on. Seems to make good decisions in the final 3rd, and really impressed with his strength on the ball and the way he protects it.

Come on fulham, nick another goal.

If only Dembele can be as sharp in playing the passes, we'll have an unbeatable midfield.
