Szczesny has put a video up on Instagram singing "it's happened again..." or summin'. Now I'm a pretty polite and respectful person, always have a smile on my face etc. But if I ever see Szczesny in person I will not hold back on calling him a massive ****. I always hated him even more than Wiltshere.

I'm pretty sure someone will kick the living shit out of him one day; tie him up and sit him on a butternut squash and then fuck his wife ragged in front of him whilst he bleeds from his arse.

Having a goalkeeper as captain isn't working for me.
Kane would be a good choice in my opinion.
Never say die attitude and spurs through and through.
Lol. That means nothing. We need someone who can have a voice with or without the captains arm band. We dont have that. We have no winners or leaders in this team.

The end of this season has been absolutely awful and t
trust me, today the rest of the football world is laughing at us. The same way we laughed at Liverpool when they 'only' finished 2nd a few years back.

Its true, we finished 3rd in 2 horse race. Thats funny. For fans of every other club.
There's an easy response to this. Ask them what were their club's required goal for the season? - unless they are Leicester every single one of them has failed. Now ask, what was Spurs' main goal for the season - to finish in a champions league place and show progress, right? Have we achieved that? Yes!

Whilst it's painful and difficult to ignore the fact we blew it today, we have still achieved much more than everyone else, other than Leicester. I'm still going to respond in a positive manner, no matter what is thrown at me because no other fan will be happy with their season.

My take:

1. Pissed off behind Arsenal.
2. Mason even at peak fitness is not good enough. Midfield depth worrying.
3. If the defeats leads to the investment to push us on fantastic.
4. Young team had a brilliant season.
5. Thru gritted teeth..... We would have taken this is at the start of the season.

But we finished 3 places higher than we did that season, so it is surely a much better achievement.

This an endless debate which will never be resolved. Position in the table or points total.

Many will say the position in the table is defined by the quality of the league (which has obviously been much lower this season). Many will say that it's points totals which show signs of progression.

We consistently get about 70 points. It just so happens that this year 70 points gets you much higher up the table than usual because some normally good teams have been shit.

It's hilarious in here sometimes. Grown men having a hissy fit over the prospect of being mocked by somebody else. Grow some balls. It's been a great season and I'm sure as hell not going to let the prospect of being jeered by some idiots ruin it for me!

Such a simplistic way about thinking about it.

Exactly, hence why all this talk of "It's a new spurs" is premature, next season will be much much tougher.

Downward spiral now after a result like this, mark my words, quote me on it. We won't recover from it, a result like this makes me believe this season has been nothing more than a fluke.
This seems like an unpopular opinion, but I partially agree. There is the potential for this to have a devastating long-term impact on the club. I can't help but feel as though we are back to square one a little bit with this performance today.

The club's bottler mentality has reared its ugly head again and it doesn't seem as though we will ever shake it off.

I've been really ill this week in bed every day with a virus (the doctors don't know what it is) and I was dreading but looking forward to today to give me something to look forward to and be happy about for a few hours, but no, as usual Spurs couldn't even do that. Too busy snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm not interested what they think. I'm interested in how we have improved. We haven't failed.

Failure is an abstract concept. I agree we have improved, but ultimately this season will be remembered as the season we ultimately failed. We cant say we finished 3rd - 'big success!' - and ignore the context of what transpired in the last month or how the season played out.

Not that I am saying we should be jumping off bridges, there is a ALOT of positives to come from this season and to look forward to, and in a few weeks I will be chomping at the bit to see our boys have another crack at it.

But right now, I reserve the right to have a fucking strop, because I have just seen us get humiliate to a relegated side and Arsenal pip us at the post in a race that was almost impossible to lose.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us start next season badly. Been discussing it with mates since the west brom game.

I wouldn't say the quality of this league has got lower. I just think the top teams have been poorer but the sides at the bottom have got a lot better and therefore it is much more competitive. Arsenal finished second and lost 7 games, the sides at the bottom can afford much better players than they could before.

To wear the captains armband should mean nothing! If you are a leader, you are a leader and dont care about the armband

Very true, some team captains may just be the most "Senior" player at the club - And a real leader doesn't have to wear an armband to lead a team, imo we lack real leaders.

They've let us down. Would be happy to see our social media team given the boot too, #togetherTHFC: what an absolute joke.

Happy with third in the long run, but that's two (?) less points than we managed under the much maligned AVB?
